Berbera Nissaba 2024

I really like the opening of this one; the resin, paired with nutmeg and pepper and spices made my nose sizzle in satisfaction. Then it settles down to a respectable leather scent, but I lost my sizzle! I mean, it's a good leathery one but I liked the top notes way better. Then it becomes leather-but-with-a-hint-of-powder which is weird enough, but enjoyable nonetheless.

It’s a fragrance that captures everything beautiful a spicy composition can offer: it’s spicy but also clean, aromatic, amber-y, with a sweet twist (like licorice/helichrysum/anise), and I even get an incense vibe. The balance is amazing. It’s gorgeous.. really different from the usual perfumes. It has a clear, sharp personality. It gives you energy!!
It vaguely reminds me of Epic Woman Eau de Parfum , but only from far.
The connection is probably that spicy, resinous signature. That mix of warm, oriental, incensey notes. Epic Woman is more opulent and dramatic though. Berbera is purer, drier, more crystalline… less baroque and more focused on this idea of fresh, vibrant spice.
