The best perfume from Casamorati
For over a year I had a 2ml sample of this perfume at home and didn't really care for it, until one day I visited a friend who had this perfume and that's where the love story began.

Needless to say, that evening I already ordered online.

This is a perfume that 'screams' quality and receives many compliments.
It is an amber floral perfume, with Indonesian ylang-ylang that caresses all the notes in an amazing way.

Its longevity is quite good and the sillage also works well for the first 4-5 hours.
A perfume for cold days.

Buy it!

9/10.

More compliments...
Let me start by saying that this fragrance is one of my most complimented fragrances and the hit rate is about 90% and for some reason women love smelling this on a man because it is masculine, sexy and luxury in a bottle. It open up with clove and ylang- ylang which give it sort of like a root beer accord then comes the sweetness then the spicy that makes this fragrance so sexy to wear and it boost your confidence.

Bubblegum leather
I think this one goes under the radar sometimes. Yes it's sweet but not in a sickly way and never feels cloying or oppressive.
If you like sweet leather with a cinnamon/vanilla spicy feeling then check this out. Whenever I wear this I've nearly always forgotten how good it is and I wonder why I don't wear more often.
In terms of suitability this fragrance is more of an evening or clubbing scent and I think it's more suitable for someone over 25. Perfectly unisex also.
Great scent with good enurance and sillage at least for first three hours.

A Journey from Spicy Bloom to Creamy Elegance
Xerjoff 1888 unfolds as a captivating scent journey. The initial burst is a vibrant mix of sweet florals, dominated by carnation, alongside a spicy kick of saffron, coriander, and pepper. Ylang-ylang adds a touch of sweet aroma, while neroli provides a warm floral backdrop. As it settles, the sharp opening softens into a creamy base of sandalwood and resinous amber. The green notes of birch remain present without being smoky, and patchouli emerges more prominently, adding a classy, herbaceous depth.
Overall, 1888 presents a well-blended, high-quality fragrance that leans slightly feminine. It evokes a sense of mature elegance, feeling both exotic and refined. While versatile, its intensity makes it particularly suitable for formal occasions. This is a fragrance for those who appreciate a complex, old-school charm with a modern sensibility.

"Im all man, lady!"
This scent is for the grown ups...
.
With the floral & the spices you would think this will be very green but it's not. It's Amber, it's reddish almost maroon.
This scent smells like a, "very sure of themselves" man, that is about business. This is a scent I feel a man in his late 40s, would wear to smell sexy for his woman. & she would either love it or hate it.
.
I think men who are sure of themselves, love this. It's outside the box but still strong, masculine, sexy & thick. It gives off a very nice saffron note with the carnation/coriander. The pepper is present as well but not overpowering. The Ylang-ylang & neroli soften it right out & give it this feeling of a warm hug. It's very stand alone in that way. I'd think when a stranger wears this around you, you'll start to instantly feel comfortable & safe if that makes sense.
.
Wear it any time of yr, day or night, but day time, don't spray nearly as much. It is present & feels like it stays present. It may fade away from ya nose but the scent is very much still there.
This is one u want to spray on your wrists, especially if your a animated/hand talker. So when your talking with your hands moving, the scent will catch people very easily. The sillage is great for the time being when it's present on the first hour or two.
.
Lol I've only worn this once but it'll be the first of many!
Very nice & different from most.
The dry down isn't anything special but very smooth with more amber & a nice woody base
.
*UPDATE*
this does have a root beer nuance to it. The spice, mixed with the thick resinous-like, oriental profile it has. It does come across like a sweet kind of root-beer like soda
.
Tony Soprano would wear this....

Brightly resinous with loads of floral notes, has a lovely old-school quality about it, but smells very timeless and very genderless.

Carnation, saffron and warm/creamy woods. Among Casamorati's best. Versatile but distinguished, with good performance.

Weird, unique, mellow, spicy oriental blend. Sometimes I love it sometimes I hate it but there is nothing like this out there.

Spicy, cozy. I love the note of carnation with the sweet amber, which creates an addictive sillage. In the drydown, floral, smoky, creamy.

Blast of carnation & bubblegum floral, w/ balsamic woody-ambry tones to support. Warm spices not too prominent. Fall-winter, maybe unisex.

100% rootbeer dry down.
Starts with almost boozy fruity amber, really nice. Not sure how often I want to smell like rootbeer though, 30ml to start.
