The Jasmine is strong and hits bad for me
The Jasmine and patchouli mix used in this fragrance smells like a catbox to me! An abosuletly gorgeous bottle and seems to have high reviews but I've narrowed down that the jasmine hits me strong and hard and smells like used kitty litter, I believe the patchouli in this heightens it too as Window 2 Soul, which has similar jasmine notes, was unpleasant for me but not as downright unbearable. I get the same scent from Brighton Dream as well which also features a jasmine and patchouli mix. Now this HAS to be something that doesn't hit everybody and it seemes that only some jasmine fragrances give me this effect (I love gucci bloom and many other jasmine or white florals I've tried haven't smelled bad at all)

I think my review should be taken with a large grain of salt and should only be considered as advice if you have a similar aversion to certain jasmine fragrances or jasmine + patchouli mix. Any jasmine diehards should give this a solid shot!

Three words: spicy, sexy, summer
This fragrance has totally caught me off guard. Bella Hadid, aka Palestine’s Princess has dropped some heat before we kick off summer 2024 and she has not come to play around. Blooming Fire is just one of three new scents she’s come out with and by far, my favorite of the line.

The notes that stand out to me the most in BF are monoï, jasmine, clove, and patchouli. The others are present, but these stand out the most on my skin. The fragrance is not at all sweet, but has a nectar-like vibe to it that is reminiscent of floral nectar you’d obtain from tropical flowers. It’s very very sexy smelling, like you’re getting ready for a day at the beach in the smallest and tightest of bikinis, bronzed up, ready to catch some sun and waves, have a few drinks, and then go back to your place to get cheeky/naughty with your love before heading out for the night. I’m actually obsessed with it and this is just off first wear.

Bella’s new line is formulated as alcohol-free perfumes, so they’re composed of high quality oils and an emulsifying liquid to help blend the perfume before you apply it to your skin. Today, I mixed it in with my lotion (which I think works well especially since it’s oil-based and not alcohol-based), applied it all over my body, and WOW. My skin feel so soft and the scent bubble is actually holding up well! A little goes a long way, and the scent lasts a good amount of time on the skin. The scents aren’t meant to be monster performers, but ones that wear on the skin for long and more intimately.

I’m so happy she took this leap and came out with a celebrity fragrance that doesn’t fit into the typical sweet, sugary, fruity, gourmand route and went the complete opposite direction. This is a wonderful spicy floral that’s going to wear like a dream in the heat. I’ve found my summer patchouli and I will be upgrading to a FB soon! Go Bella and Free Palestine!

a lovely spark
Ironically, I wish the cedar in Salted Muse was less prominent. but here, I wish cedar and clove came out to play a bit more! The white florals really are the star of the show here, and while I love a good tropical floral, I'm finding myself craving a bit more depth. Honey would've been a nice addition too, similar to The Harmonist's Moon Glory.

That being said, Blooming Fire does monoi and jasmine really well, and if you're looking for a reliable summer scent this is a good bet. For me, I think I'll layer this with some spicier notes to get the fire I'm really looking for.

Also, this goes for Orebella as a whole: I'm really enjoying the formula! I didn't think too much about the concept, but the emulsion sprays easily and my skin feels super soft. I think the brand works really well as a skin scent line and I'd like to see more.

Wish this was as nuanced as the notes suggest, but on skin it's a simpler floral. Still a beautiful jasmine though!
