the ideal natural marine
If you have to walk through the woods and hop over rocks to get to your local beach, Salted Muse is for you.

I knew this would be my favorite of the launch. The opening is oceaninc but doesn't veer into your typical marine, which I appreciate. I think salt notes + skin scents are such a great match. The fig transition into the woods reminds me a bit of Jazmin Sarai's Fayoum. The drydown is a nice amber + wood, but I wish the middle notes lingered for longer as they're by far my favorite part. Overall though, this is a lovely, earthy blend that will be a summer go-to.

Female Vetiver
First off, I really enjoy this. But I happen to love unisex/masculine-leaning aromatics and freshies.

Without looking at the notes, on first spray I got a blast of vetiver! Some subtle hints of a very green fig (fig leaf) and a sharp, pencil shavings style cedar. Can confirm all those accords are actually there in the notes list so brava, me! (Parfumo is missing the listed 'essential oils,' i.e., lavender and vetiver.)

Overall a fresh, somewhat bitter (yes, the Santal pickle thing is there, just barely) sandalwood/cedar and vetiver combo that is more earthy and less aquatic on my skin. I miss any trace of salt, shame.

Also, really great performance, albeit pretty linear. It's oil-based and so goes on skin as an essential oil would . . . oily. At least only for a few moments. The upshot of this formulation is a wonderful, radiating sillage that remains quite noticeable for most of the day. The bottle is fun, but you have to be able to tolerate that it doesn't stand.

Mermaids dive at dawn
Princess Bella really did not come to play around with us with Salted Muse. This one, is arguably, the most challenging fragrance of her line and I, personally, am obsessed with it, right after her Blooming Fire.

Salted Muse is a woody scent with a strong aquatic/marine facet that reminds you of spending an entire day seaside. And by water, I’m not talking about clear or fresh waters, I’m talking about deep, blue, oceanic waters with lots of salt and brine. It’s quite unique and intense at first, but dries down to a very sexy, earthy but still fresh skin-like scent. It has a remarkable duality to it. Imagine the baddest, sexiest mermaid in the sea and I bet this is what she’d smell like. It’s raunchy, addicting, and adventurous. It’s definitely not a traditional women’s fragrance with all the flowers and sugar and froo-La-La girly-ness. But it feels very womanly to me, like a woman in her absolute prime could pull something like this off. As another review mentioned, Venus in her shell is what is captured by this scent.

In a market saturated with scents made for “gourmand girlies”, Bella said “let’s do something different”, which is why I can see why SM is so polarizing. This was made for the girlies who like to get a bit down and dirty, and still be oh so sexy while doing it. Can’t wait to wear her to the beach when summer comes back around.

Summer in PNW
I adore this scent. I love both marine and woody scents, and this finds an excellent balance. It's much more NorCal/Oregon coastline to me than beachy. It's initially very peppery and a little sweet-- almost reminiscent of drinking a spicy chai while watching the waves crash. I definitely get the cedar and lavender, but the olive and fig don't stand out to me as much. Still, it's daily summer wear! I've never bought a celeb fragrance before, but tried this on in a store, and fell in love.

sexy old spice? a well curated kitchen by the sea
Salted muse can be savory, but mostly she is spicy and aromatic. The salt teases around the edge, but mostly I'm reminded of my high school boyfriend wearing old spice as we hung out in the kitchen while his mom made dinner.

It is a very homey and comforting scent, even with the associations, I like it in moments when I'm hot and overstimulated. The oil formula of Orebella is not my favorite, but I work through it for comfort like this. It leans a little salad dressing-y sometimes, but mostly it feels like the warmth of a kitchen that loves herbs, citrus, seasonal garden fruits. It's figgy, but could be apricots or pomegrantes or whatever you know to grow in backyards near you. It's unisex, but does lean masculine. I tend to lean unisex, with leaps into both masculine and feminine. But I wouldn't wear this if I needed to remind some of my femininity.

I see the vision of this brand, and will always support the princess of Palestine.

I wanted to like this, and honestly, I still kind of do, but unfortunately, I get a pickle note in the background that I can't ignore.

An incredible skin scent, truly salty and creamy. Makes me feel like Venus in her shell.

Smells like it would be perfect for a beautiful dark eyed woman who visits the mediterranian often but I am a pasty man who has never left the midwest

I really enjoy this, it's a woody seashore. It's not a swimsuit and sunscreen beach, it's a shaded 'bring a book' or take a walk beach.

It smells like straight up ocean water on me. If that what you’re looking for you might like it.

Salted Muse is probably the only one out of the line I have zero notes for. But that's coming from a woods lover, so maybe I'm biased lol

Love the imagery Salted Muse evokes, but the blend of salt, olive tree, and sandalwood evokes that dill/pickle note on my skin.

A dry and dark cloudy beach smell. Similar to Uomo Born In Roma (M) for me but without the sweetness.

Clean cool girl vibes. A bit of sea breeze, a little pine swaying in the wind. Need more!
