Sexy Figs
Eros Fig was an initial love at first spray for me. Juicy blackcurrant and fig with green elements, it literally made my mouth water. I imagined eating dark fruit with juice dripping down my chin and all over my hands, much like the perfumer's description of this scent. I immediately contemplated ordering a full bottle.

Unfortunately it started to make me feel really uncomfortable after a few hours. I tried to scrub it off and still just could not escape it. Every time I've tried it since then has made me feel nauseous. Very sad because it's such a gorgeous scent.

I don't normally have an issue with any of the listed notes, but there's something with a spicy, almost animalic warmth in the base that really isn't sitting well with me - maybe civet? I actually find that most of the Paraphrase perfumes don't work for me in the drydown, so I guess I'm just not a fan of this house's DNA. They're all quite warm and sensual, erotic even, and they make me feel kind of vulnerable.

I'd personally rate Eros Fig around a 4/10, but I'm giving it a higher rating here because I really did love it at first, and I think it's really well done and creative. It feels high quality and well-blended, and the performance is amazing. I really wish this house worked for me. Paraphrase is for confident, unapologetic sexy people.

Green Figs on a Summer's Day
This fragrance is definitely reminiscent of a green, unripe fig first and foremost. There's a sappynes to it, like the milky latex ooze that comes out of the stem when you pick one that isn't ready yet off the tree, maybe crushing a few leaves in the process. I'm suspecting that the tartness of the blackcurrant or some sort of citrus brightens this up and keeps it from being bogged down too heavily by the thick, vegetal greenery. It's a very nice contrast that makes it fresh to the nose.

A sweetness comes through after a bit of a drydown, very much like the fruity sweetness of a dried fig that mingles with the unripe notes. I believe the sandalwood is the 'spicy' element to all this and keeps that sweetness from being too cloying. I can't identify or single out any other spices. The brightness of the blackcurrent and citrus also, thankfully, remains well into the drydown.

It has decent strength and projection for the first hour or so, but quickly mellows into a bubble around you. This is my personal preference, but others may not like the lack of projection after the initial wave. This is a strongly unisex scent that doesn't lean in either direction.

For a fragrance with 'Eros' in the name, this doesn't strike me as 'sexy'. But it is very organic, juicy, green and a happy, welcoming scent that I don't feel is out of place in any space.

Smells exactly like a punnet of fresh figs. Wish the coconut wasn't so strong in the drydown, but it's got a great opening.

An effervescent pink and green fig that sticks around and goes juicy in the sun - perfect for warm weather!

Spices and ambrette seeds save the scent in a unisex direction, as coconut and rose were about to trigger my off switch.

Rich, juicy, sweet
Playful honey eroticism with minimal green.
Very wearable and incredibly well composed.
