Flower Vinegar

The opening spray is a cheerful exhalation of someone's breath after drinking a cocktail, sweet and boozy, but then a sour note strikes. Perhaps it's the rose and patchouli creating some kind of accord here, I'm not sure but it isn't for me and my nose. It brings a spiked vinegary note into the fragrance that I can appreciate might work well for some, but which clashes with my personality entirely. There is a scent created if you take beautiful fresh flower petals and put them in water and close them up in a bottle and let them sit. It's floral but sour, that's what I get here. I don't get any depth of amber or vanilla - just sharp oak, rose, patchouli, and flower vinegar.

Troubled Spirits

Josh writes beautiful lines to accompanying his fragrances. So picturesquely that they put me in a wonderful mood, even before I wear them.

TROUBLED SPIRITS WALK AMONG US.
THEY STAY UP AN HOUR TOO LATE AND AND ENJOY ONE TOO MANY SIPS.
THEY KISS STRANGERS AND FLIRT WITH FRIENDS.

The scent is framed by chords of smoky wooden barrels. A note of bourbon resonates in everything, matured in these very vessels. The subliminal orange brings a depth to the echoes of golden brown spirits.

The essence of the fragrance for me, however, is the interaction with skin chords. Something I already experienced and loved with Prin Lomros´creations - there in a context with hay. It is this smell of musk and sun kissed skin. Something very warm and sensual.

And here the circle closes thematically for me as well.

Josh's fragrances are moments of intimacy - captured in bottles.

Kissed by a troubled spirit.

I think it's great. Resinous amber-incense accord in a charred oak barrel. With bourbon. Rose? Nope. A fantastic spirit experience!

Sample over, flowers gone, only a boozy musty wood remained. Very durable wood that withstood washing attempts on the first try.

Beautiful opening with cedar, gentle orange that feels a bit bitter, and amber. Unfortunately, the rose doesn't fit here at all and drags the scent down...
