Why is NOBODY talking about this fragrance?
First of all, for your information: I have the fragrance as an extrait de parfum. However, it is only listed here as an EdP. Slightly confused, I did some research and found out that the fragrance has apparently been renamed 2024 for the European market. Even on the manufacturer's website, you can only order the Extrait de Parfum for Europe. For the USA, however, there is only an EdP.
Unfortunately, I cannot say whether the concentration or formulation of the European version has changed. You should just be careful if you order this fragrance online, as some retailers apparently still sell the EdP!
But now to the fragrance: For me, this fragrance is an absolute surprise.
Last Thursday, I spontaneously made my way to Düsseldorf with a good colleague. After an extensive sniffing session at the Marc Gebauer store and a delicious burger at Peter Pane, we went to the local Breuninger to round off the day.
Once there, we wandered from stall to stall with no real destination in mind and tested everything in a criss-cross pattern. When we arrived at the Reinvented stand, a nice saleswoman approached us and offered to test a few fragrances.
A little skeptical, as we hadn't heard of this brand before (and I generally don't like being approached directly by salespeople), we got involved with the saleswoman and she introduced us to Sacred Bond.
When we smelled the test strip, my colleague and I just looked at each other in amazement and thought: What an intense and fruity sweetness!
The raspberries and mandarins in the top notes are very present at first but don't smell synthetic, they are concentrated but natural. In the second moment, bergamot is added with a beautiful rose, giving the fragrance a creamy and slightly citrusy touch.
My colleague then sprayed the fragrance on himself, fearing that it wouldn't last long, and we went on our way. But even after about 45 minutes, the scent didn't let us go. So I went back to the sales clerk and had the fragrance wrapped up for me.
Even on the way back, the top notes dominated the air in the car and lasted longer than average for such a fragrance.
However, the fragrance changes after about 3-4 hours, when the top notes disappear. This is when a very sweet and fruity fragrance turns into a creamy and slightly gourmand scent. The vanilla, amber and sandalwood in particular stand out and allow the fragrance to slowly fade after a total of 6-7 hours.
Overall, I am also satisfied with the longevity. Of course, one always wishes for a little more longevity in the top notes, but the fragrance performs above average.
In conclusion, I can therefore say:
A very sweet and fruity raspberry-tangerine fragrance with a beautiful DNA, which turns into a pleasant creamy-gourmand scent throughout the day. The longevity is above average, as is the sillage.
I can imagine that the sweetness may be too intense for some, but for me it's just right. I find the 180€ for 75ml at a concentration of 27%, which leaves a nice oily film on the skin, reasonable as a niche perfume.
So for me a hidden gem and definitely worth a try for you if you also like sweet-fruity fragrances!
