Garden of Happiness
Recently, I spent a few wonderful days in picturesque Milan and made a discovery that has the potential to catapult my olfactory barometer to a permanent high.
Strolling past the Milan Cathedral, I wandered through the fascinating temple of consumption, Vittorio Emmanuele Secondo, towards the Scala, where the street soon narrows and leads into the delightful Via Brera. Inviting little shops lined the alley on both sides, and suddenly I found myself in a charming perfume shop that seemed to be paradise. Fragrant essences and artistic glass bottles as far as the eye could see - to be honest, it wasn't really large, but the individual scent samples presented to me by a friendly young Italian woman were all the more impressive. Instantly picking up on my taste, she handed me a turquoise vial with a white marbled ball cap, which was a true work of art in itself!
A cautious sniff of the sprayed card, and I was in scent heaven… or rather in the enchanting, long-forgotten garden of childhood, surrounded by the fresh, cooling shade of trees, bare feet in the soft grass, and in front of me sun-drenched currant bushes, black, red, white berries, heavy in dense clusters, glowing as juicy sweet temptations on the twigs.
On my skin, a captivating lightness developed through fruity-resinous citrus and a seductive aroma of sun-warmed leaves of the black currant bush, which accompanied me for the rest of the day.
Of course, I don't need to mention that the beautiful blue bottle moved in with me the next day.
I have found my garden of happiness…
Kérylos by L’Objet could since then be called my signature summer scent without hesitation. It enchants with its refreshing juiciness, never becoming too sweet, and lasts comfortably for 6-8 hours on my skin, of which I celebrate every breath!
By the way, a few days later, I also encountered the "little brother" of Kérylos, which joined me in my suitcase: Arancia Rosso by Laboratorio Olfattivo, which beautifully enhances the aroma of freshly cut blood oranges with just that enchanting black currant. Unfortunately, this one is formulated much lighter and therefore dissipates noticeably faster. Moreover, it seems to be a bit less artfully blended for my nose, but still worth a thorough test!!!!
