Badee Al Oud Horror and Misery

Dr Frankenstein woke up one day, turned his chromatograph and decided that he wanted to mix Khamrah , Honor & Glory and Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum , but only the ugliest parts of each one.

The stingy cinnamon, the acidic chemical ?pineapple? and the metallic sharpness from the ????

Parts of a half animated corpse cornered into being alive. Absolutely horrid. Made me question those very parts about the original fragrances.

I am so confused as to why people are voting down on the comparison between this and Honor & Glory .

Baffled that Lattafa did this honestly.

Sugar Addict or Honor & Glory?

I have been waiting for the Artisan Ethnique with great anticipation.
A dupe for Sugar Addict ? That sounds interesting, especially as I don't have a dupe for the fragrance yet.
So I was hoping for something that smells completely different to everything I currently own.

After I received and tested a bottle, however, I was immediately reminded of a perfume I already own, Honor & Glory.
One or two notes have been added, the pineapple removed and a new fragrance has been created, it can be that simple.

The opening is super sweet, sugar is very prominent.
Rum, sugar and cinnamon give me a pleasant cherry vibe.
I would have liked it to go in the cherry direction.
Such a sweet, boozy, cherry scent would have been something.

Instead, I just perceive a light boozy sugar note in the DD.
It reminds me very slightly, really only very slightly, of the sugar note from "Raghba | Lattafa / لطافة" Only here it's more modern and not so syrupy.

What ultimately remains is sugar and a slight booziness from the rum.
Cinnamon also seems to be somewhere in the background.
Because this cherry note, which is created by the interplay of cinnamon and rum, is also very slightly perceptible at the end.
Unfortunately, I don't detect caramel, coffee or cocoa at all.
I was actually looking forward to these notes.

The durability is ok, I can still smell the fragrance on my clothes the next day.
However, there are fragrances that smell stronger the next day, but still quite ok.
I didn't find the radiance to be super strong, unfortunately.
For a gourmand, I would say the fragrance is rather mediocre.
You can easily overspray here.

In my opinion, the fragrance is neither masculine nor feminine.
It may lean a little towards the feminine, but as a man you don't smell feminine when you wear it.
And of course it is a fragrance for colder days.

My conclusion: You can do it, but you don't have to.
I love gourmand fragrances, but this one really doesn't knock my socks off.
I don't think it's bad, but if you read through the notes, you somehow expect a lot more.

Gourmand is the program

After a long search, I recently bought it and have now been able to test it for a week.

The packaging is unique in a Lattafa way...with a beautiful hinged box.
The bottle and the name of the fragrance somehow make question marks in my head...but well, the bottle is elongated, fits well in the hand.

After a few sprays...I am enveloped in an opulent and delicious cloud of fragrance.
What I perceive is cinnamon, caramel, rum, vanilla and tonka.....
as you can see, the fragrance is particularly suitable for the cooler months of the year and is also quite long-lasting.
For me, it easily lasts the whole working day and can still be detected close to the body in the evening.

All in all....anyone who likes gourmand fragrances will probably like it.

Sweet, warm, creamy, gourmand. Sugar at it's best. I like it.
I had the Sugar Addict first, but I had to have the Lataffa because it's supposed to be "very similar" to the Sugar Addict. Is it really? I would say no. I would describe the Artisan Ethnique as Sugar Addict on steroids.
When I apply it in the morning, I'm still asked about it in the afternoon and asked "What smells so delicious here?"
Beautiful fragrance for winter.

Goodbye depravity !

By chance I got hold of a last copy, whose scent is unknown to me.
A striking cloud of oud from the very first spray, with a spicy, sweet undertone ......
and yes indeed .... unmistakably 24 Gold by Scent Story from 2010.
The fragrance components seem higher quality: no dirty oud, no sticky sweetness, no wickedness, ..... neutered, like so many fragrances of recent decades. A great fragrance with slightly less longevity, silage and head cinema than the original, which I like better as an old man.
