This smells like a vape
Now that is not necessarily a bad thing, this just gives off that electric strawberry vibe. Certainly one of the weirder Toskovat smells, it's basically eating cotton candy as a kid while your dad fills up his gas tank. This will NOT get you compliments (but you can prove me wrong), but not a lot of Toskovats will so go for it if you don't mind people asking if you vape. 8.5/10 for me, projects quite well and lasts a pretty long time too.

Not for everyone
I'll start by saying this became my 'signature scent', I absolutely love it, but it really is one of those "love it or hate it" perfumes. If you don't get put off the first time you sniff it, you will probably grow to love it. It's the kind of perfume that, if you find interesting, it will live in the back of your mind rent free for a long time. I kept going back to smell it, and then I just went ahead and bought the largest bottle I could find.
As for the notes, the opening for me is rubber and strawberry, with a hint of gasoline. It has the same basic idea as Maison Crivelli's Oud Maracujá, in the sense that there's a strong oud with a fruity opening, but that's where the similarities stop. I like the oud in this a lot more, even though it smells a lot like a brand new tyre in the opening, I find it more appealing and I like the drydown during the day as well.
Performance is great, easily last the entire day, silage is not as amazing but still good.
Sadly, I can't recommend this as a blind buy, since not many people will find it wearable, but it's by far my favorite Toskovat' scent. If you like other creations from this house you'd probably like this one as well. For me it's an easy 10/10 going by smell alone.

The Clash of Maturity & Childhood
An interesting scent profile that blends two extreme poles: the mature and complex scent profile of a fermented oud, along with a child-like sweetness, reminiscent to that of a strawberry or burnt sugar. These are the two poles in which this scent exists, and nothing more: the clash between these two elements configures a bizzare emergence of other sub-scents if you will, like that of soft rubber, latex, and oil.
To me, the opening has a sudden puff of sweetness that gives way to this heavily fermented oud, the scent of which could remind one of blue cheese. If one keeps that scent in their minds, they will notice it until the end, even if it blends with the rest of the sugary notes, and mellows out after a while.
Interesting idea, but a result that I don't know how many people would it actually entice.

Brilliantly offbeat or fascinatingly unique?
Let's start from the very beginning.

I heard about the brand through TikTok and was immediately quite fascinated by the concept of the "Extrait de Memoir." A memory that is to be created with the help of illustrations, a letter, and of course the scent? Yes, Toskovat really caught my attention with that.

So, I bought the 15ml version of Age of Innocence in combination with the Inexcusable Evil. The shop was super accommodating and helpful with inquiries, and less than a week later, the beautiful packaging was on my shelf. I immersed myself in the complete experience. I read the letter, looked at the pictures, and then sprayed the scent on my hand. I was immediately fascinated and shocked. I had expected a lot but not this. This sweet strawberry gum, this authentic gasoline, and the strange undertone of rubber and leather...
I was quite unsure for a long time about how to rate it, which is why I left it until today.

So here is my assessment:
Is it absolutely fascinating as an artistic project? Yes, absolutely.
Do I find the idea of the "Extraits de Memoir" also absolutely brilliant? Yes, that too.
Can you wear it in everyday life? Very, very difficult.

I will now describe the effect on me and my surroundings as follows.

Personally, I first wrinkled my nose in shock and turned away. A few seconds later, however, I found myself back at the scented spot and smelled it again. I wrinkled my nose again. I smelled it again and again throughout the day, and slowly I started to like it. Once I managed to distinguish the individual notes, I really began to enjoy it. However, it actually took me that entire day, and in my opinion, it only works during the dry down of the scent. The initial impression remains difficult for me to decipher and very much a matter of getting used to. As for my surroundings, the reactions were not the most positive, but also not the worst feedback I've received so far. The sweetness was always perceived very well until the rubber and gasoline notes came through. That’s when it became difficult for most to communicate to me that the scent really doesn’t smell all that great to them, at least.

In the end, I can say:

It is unique.
The concept is fantastic.
It smells very diverse, and you will come to like it after some time.
It is and remains incredibly difficult to wear.

Wear it if you want to dare something.

How was that again
Waking up….
A gentle voice whispered in my ear.
Why was I in this lounge chair?
Why were my hands sticky and what smelled so biting, yet sweet?
I tried to remember and looked at my hands, which were still sticky with cotton candy….yes, now I remember.

We were on our way home from the fair. Innocently sitting in the back seat with a Hubba Bubba roll in my brother's hand. Cotton candy and a strawberry skewer in my grasp. Dad at the wheel, once again playing the hero.
Then it happened: a loud bang, screeching tires, and smoke.

The last thing I saw was my cotton candy soaked in gasoline amidst the black rubber scraps of the tires…..

------------

This story by Toskovat is truly wonderfully realized, happy and melancholic at the same time.
Starting with sticky sweet cotton candy and synthetic strawberry, a pink Hubba Bubba snake. Up to gasoline and burnt rubber notes. Adorned with car parts.
The scent clings to the skin all day.

For me, however, it is hard to wear due to the very penetrating sweetness and synthetic quality. Still, I am glad to own this work of art.

This is how I imagine Pink Sugar and Baccarat Rouge smell to hardcore gourmand haters. It’s nasty!

not exactly what I hoped for. On my hand smells actually kinda wearable but not in a way I’d like. The innocence part is overly sweet.

Well I mean, unless your parents worked at an auto body shop this isn’t very reminiscent of childhood but def interesting.

Reminds me of fruity hookah tobacco, already in use for hours; burnt rose, rubber burn, glowing metal, dark base.
