Like pouring "Tiger's Blood" flavored syrup onto your skin
I ordered based on rave reviews, and I heard some claim it's a dupe for Minnie Mouse , but...

1) It's definitely *not* a dupe for HOS Minnie - the berry notes aren't as well balanced as they are in Minnie, there's no lipstick note, and this has way more notes overall than Minnie does (feels too "busy" - instead of having the "simplicity" that HOS Minnie does).

2) I normally love anything sweet, and all of these notes feel right up my alley - but sadly... this smelled *too* sweet, too thick, and too sticky. Despite no coconut note listed, to me it smelled like pouring Tiger's Blood flavored syrup (the syrup used for snow cones/shaved ice) straight onto my skin with no dilution.

Highly recommend sampling first, as I felt this was a bit overhyped. Not "blind-buy friendly", in my opinion!

What I Don't Know Makes Ice & Hot
I often find myself mocking inflated marketing internally, as I often think that the product could speak for itself without silly and transparent antics of sex-sells and the like. But of course, I also know that good marketing really influences awareness and sales figures to a great extent; otherwise, it wouldn't be worth hiring top models, running huge campaigns, and having psychologists work in the background. I mock design less often; elegant shapes, fascinating haptics, and much in the direction of pop art make my heart race.
Why this introduction to a fragrance review?
Because of the bottle. It doesn't appeal to me at all.
In complete absence of marketing in the German market, the depicted bottle raises expectations in me that the fragrance does not fulfill in any way. But not in the way you might think.

I received Hayati in a swap package as a sample. And as is sometimes the case with swap packages, the two fragrances for which I swapped the package were unfortunately flops, but the contents of this little vial with the unknown Hayati, from which I had expected nothing due to the bottle, was surprisingly so fascinating that the package was worth it just for that:
In the opening, there is a truly friendly and zesty fruit mix of fresh mangoes, pineapples, and cherries, along with a bit of, albeit artificial, but still attractive strawberry aroma, starting Hayati lightly and at the same time extremely intensely. Fortunately, the fermented and plastic-like notes that so many fragrances with intense fruity notes unfortunately bring to my nose are absent here. Moreover, nothing is overpowering, and even the usual dose of maltol and/or musk is missing. So, yes, just like that, a fruit fragrance can finally please me one hundred percent!
After the first impression, the top note is underlaid by a very light and mild sweetness. Here, the slight bitterness of the pineapple and the mango, together with the sweetness, give the fragrance a balanced warmth that remains light.
At the beginning of the heart note, the bitter factor increases a little, only to connect better and better with the softer hints of the base as it progresses, until a delicious impression of ice & hot sets in.
This impression remains throughout the base until Hayati evaporates after about 10 to 11 hours.
I am left astonished. Judging by the bottle, I would have expected a fragrance with many spices, a lot of musk, rose, jasmine, artificial wood, and/or oud. The usual marketing has taught me to expect this scent direction in a bottle of this design. Therefore, I would not have thought to test this fragrance specifically. I regularly have issues with musk and oud, often with jasmine, and sometimes with certain spices; I can only tolerate artificial wood in minimal amounts - only rose do I usually like, but rose is often found, so often that I no longer search for rose fragrances.
So here I have become a marketing victim of a special kind. I probably shouldn't mock marketing so often anymore.

And in the end, Hayati has another real surprise in store: When my sought-after remaining bottle arrives after emptying the sample, it turns out that it is not made of metal like the bottles from Compagnia delle Indie, Tesri d'Oriente, or even the Montales, but from very heavy, elegantly appearing glass! The haptics are unexpectedly elegant.

P.S.: Only after I went looking for more information did I learn the beautiful and fitting story that tells how this fragrance is supposed to make the perfumer's childhood olfactorily relivable.
That has been achieved!

I can't even settle on a title
I saw this fragrance on Parfumo when someone listed it as "wearing today."
Clicked on it and immediately fell in love with the scent pyramid!
Raspberry, black currants, and vanilla ice cream - could it get any better?!
And yes(!) there was a sample in the souk! Ordered, paid, and waited eagerly.
Then it arrived and yes, just as expected, simply amazing! Kids of the 90s surely remember the Mambas with the little fruit pieces inside, raspberry - that's the scent!
Outstanding, screaming, sticky sweet but still not unpleasant. Sounds unpleasant, but somehow it all fits together.
In summer, I want to wear this every day because it lifts my spirits.
The longevity is also good.
Now here comes the BUT. I experience all of this when I smell from the sprayer and when I apply it fresh. The fragrance has no real development, and that's where the problem lies. For hours, I smell like mega sweet Mamba. The whole time, permanently...
I want to compare it differently; you also like to eat a chewy candy/chocolate - something sweet. And one more because it's delicious, one more and one more, and yuck, now it's too much. Now I don't want anything sweet for two days.
And that's how it is here.
Mega awesome fragrance that the good longevity becomes a downfall, because at some point, enough is enough with the sugar.

So it's tricky, I think it's great but maybe not for hair and only if you have to change your shirt in the middle of the day.

Idylle vs. Realität
After reading countless reviews on various sites and in different languages about this fragrance, I was completely sure that I would like it, as the scent pyramid appealed to me entirely. Of course, I first needed to get a sample.

The fragrance is inspired by the childhood of perfumer Yann Vasnier, which he often spent in his garden, said to be full of currant and raspberry bushes, as well as flowers. On sunny days, he is said to have often eaten vanilla ice cream there. (See scent pyramid)

Both the scent pyramid and the story behind it, and ultimately the whole picture in my head fit perfectly together and created a magical/idyllic image.
I was completely surprised when I got to smell it. It smelled soooo .... not at all like I had imagined. But that's how it is with fragrances that you only know from the description...

Now to the actual scent. For me, the scent components somehow create a somewhat strange mixture... I perceive currant with strawberry, mixed with synthetic plastic vanilla. Strawberry doesn't even appear as a note here... probably from the berry syrup?
I have read several times that the fragrance smells like jam. To that, I can say that I don't smell any jam. The only thing I could agree with is the peach rings. They do come through briefly sometimes.

In short; for me, it's a synthetic - berry shower gel scent. As a child, I had a small strawberry perfume that smelled about the same. Unfortunately, a disappointment for me.
The longevity also disappointed me greatly. I felt like after an hour, there was only a hint of it left to sense.

Well, that's just my feeling :) The fragrance seems to please many!

How are you? - I'm doing hayat!
"I dreamed of it back then
Today it becomes true [...], believe me,
no one can stop me
Behind me lies only ash and dust
But no, [no], I won't give up
...
Because I'm doing, because I'm doing
I'm doing hayat...
You look down at night
Yes, you look down at the lights of the city at night
And I'm doing HAYAT!"
- Ra‘is - Hayat (2020)

Or... something more well-known:

"It's summer!
No matter if you're sweating or freezing
Summer is,
what happens in your head!
It's summer!
I've made that clear:
Summer is,
when you laugh anyway."
- Wise Guys - Sommer (2001)

Hayat means 'life' in Turkish (and maybe in other languages, I have no idea).
So when someone says they are doing 'hayat', they are celebrating life - and I celebrate that!
With Hayati, you celebrate summer, all the bees, little bugs, and probably even the nasty ones with wings, regardless of whether it’s summer or not.

There are perfumes or scents that I enjoy at home by myself when I'm feeling a bit sad or unmotivated and need that special hug, that feeling of security, a memory or SWEETS, without fearing getting fat.
Then there's Hayat(i), which I might also reach for in such moments.
The golden dome, the red... Hayati looks like home.
After that, I have to go out to hug the whole world - and eat endless ice cream. Oh yesaaa!
As Parfümlein already wrote: "Jam" - yes, here you rub yourself with jam and as it goes, it sticks everywhere: not just on the wrist, but also in the hair...
And it sticks and sticks and sticks, until the next bath or shower.

Hayati opens with strawberry and quickly dries down to a sweet peach with tuberose. In the base, a creamy vanilla and white musk.

Initially an overdose of berries that seem quite synthetic. Then vanilla becomes more prominent and the combo with berries turns delicious.

Berry compote with vanilla sauce and floral decoration. First sweet, then tart-berry. Not overpowering, but too food-like for me.
