The perfect rose jam ️
This flavor is similar to honey-raspberry liqueur and melted strawberry "kulfi" ice cream with saffron, crushed roasted pistachios and hot rose jam.
A dense, breathtakingly sweet fragrance of boundless happiness with an oud smoky undertone.
I'm so happy that I have it!

And the last thing - remember that pistachios can smell unpleasant at first, and there are a lot of pistachios here.

My favorite roses perfume
One of my favorite rose scents. Feminine, sexy, alluring and with incredible sillage. Smells like sweet rose jam, I smell nutty aspects as well. The durability is insane. In hot weather, it is sometimes heavy, but in cold season it is beautiful!

You do not need to apply much, because the perfume is very loud and can interfere with others.

This perfume in top list of my fragrance!

Pistachio! And yet another rose-patchouli-oud...
I at first smelt Parfait de Roses and Roses Berberanza together at a Lancôme counter, before testing them more thouroughly one after another. According to Lancôme, these two rose fragrances showcase two different types of roses in perfumery: Rose Centifolia and Rose Damascena, respectively. Smelling them side by side, the two roses contrast each other like light and shadow, and I think Lancôme did succeed in hightlighting certain special characteristics of these two different types of roses.

Roses Berberanza is significantly darker than Parfait de Roses as a whole, but its opening has a very interesting creamy, even buttery feeling around the ruby rose that really evokes the rich aftertaste of pistachio! After about 20 minutes, Roses Berberanza soon proceeds to turn dark purple by wrapping the damask rose with oud and patchouli in order to highlight its spicy, fruity tart and green aspects. Sadly, on me, Roses Berberanza seems to favour thoughtless hard punch than taking time to adjust the subtle nuances. The end results is a rather generic commercial rose-patchouli-oud accord, with an intense, purple, gooey plum-like fruitchouli over a the ubiquitous raspberry rose-oud combination.

At least the late dry down has the last saving grace, with the rose becomes more and more tart to cut through the intense rose-patchouli-oud accord, as if the rose sacrificed itself to shed its wilted petals into the saccharine darkness with a moderate result. The sillage is quite heavy throughout its developement, while the longevity is around 10 hours on my skin.

Personally, I was fascinated by the initial pistachio impression! But the main body of Roses Berberanza, the conventional, clumsy rose-patchouli-oud accord, left me utterly uninspired. Like the other offerings from this exclusive range of Lancôme, I would recommend giving it a try based on the interesting and evocative opening of pistachio, but I would also suggest against a blind buy especially to those who are not enamoured with ubiquitous fruitchouli and faux "rose-oud" in commercial western fragrances.

Stinky Socks Deluxe
Wow, it’s really been a while since I last posted a fragrance review - so here we go. Forgive me if it’s a bit bumpy.

Surprisingly, this is the first review of this fragrance.

The fragrance Rose Berberanza comes from the exclusive Maison line of Lancôme and is available in 100 ml for a retail price of 220 euros. The bottle is made of glass and features a rose gold metal plate on the back, from which a rose pattern has been punched out, allowing us to see through the reddish liquid. The cap is magnetic and golden. The outer packaging is matte white, and a textured label on the front echoes the rose gold metal plate. Overall, the packaging looks high-quality and quite elegant, although not nearly as luxurious as competitors from Guerlain.

Now to the fragrance itself. It starts with a punch. We perceive a rather generic rose jam-vanilla-berry syrup conglomerate. Smelled this way many times before - Mancera Rose Vanille, Tresor Nuit à la Folie, and the like. Hyper-feminine, very sweet, but also a bit forgettable. At the same time, we are hit with a concentrated pistachio in juxtaposition. In this configuration, it comes across as very bitter, out of place, almost stinky - which is often noted by users on various platforms. Nevertheless, this so-called stinky note manages to pull the fragrance out of the sweet-nice-forgotten corner and provides a welcome edge.

As the fragrance develops, rose and pistachio noticeably recede, and the scent becomes more harmonious; the notes stand together, no longer against each other. The pistachio no longer pushes to the forefront but instead supports the sweet notes, creating a successful, stylish grounding. In my opinion, it has a similar effect to a musk or wood base - depth and dimension. Oud remains subtly in the background.

The fragrance is, as usual for the Maison line, very long-lasting but has a much greater projection than the other semi-florals in the range.

Alongside Montale's Intense Café, in my opinion, the best fragrance in this theme.

Addendum:
I remember reading that people find it similar to Angel, and I can confirm this in hindsight. Super sweet and a bit messy; imagine a lady who has just come from Angel biting into a rose-raspberry jelly bun ;)

Huge dessert rose(/pistachio/vanilla/oud). Easy to love as only the luckiest people are, but if you need your romance Byronic, not for you.

This perfume starts very strong as a very sweet rose- jammy. Then it settles to an okay rose scent that lasts throughout the day.

Sugary-sweet rose-fruit liqueur that reminds me of an artificial strawberry scent. The listed fruits are rather elusive: sticky!

Like Turkish sweets with lots of sugar + rose water. Rich, spicy rose jam with raspberry flavor. Plus pistachios + liqueur. Too intense for me.

Very sweet, reminiscent of rose jam or loukoum, but with a distinctly fruity note. For fans of "Roses Vanille," "Rose Jam," "Rose Confite."

This is how rose-raspberry jelly with vanilla should taste. Subtle oud note in the background. An oriental treat. Outstanding sillage.

I love rose. I love oud. I love gourmands. I love fruits. Here, all of this comes together, but it feels too strong & sweet for me.

As cute as a butterfly. Rose petals and raspberries drenched in syrup. Intensely sweet. A hint of spice, gentle oud. La vie greets.
