Red lips need kissing..
In the past, lipsticks simply smelled differently than today. I don't want to say better, but different, kind of intense. As a child of the 60s, the biggest thing for me was to get hold of a mini or samples of lipstick. For me as a little girl that was synonymous with luxury and the big wide world.

Back then, it sounds like I was almost as old as a dinosaur, durability was a priority and care was rather neglected. Today, fortunately, this is a little different, because care and durability are no longer mutually exclusive in the 21st century. So far so good.

Iris Crush opens with a soft peppery note, but the impression of lipstick is also immediately present. Neroli flashes only briefly and very discreetly in the background, only to retreat again quite quickly. I can't perceive freesia, at least not consciously. The heliotrope takes its time with its appearance, but then immediately combines with the lipstick note. In the further course of time the lipstick becomes darker and also somehow creamier, which I attribute to the mixture of patch, musk and tonka. If this is possible at all, an additional shovel of "sensuality" is added.

The lipstick is present during the entire process. It virtually floats above everything, although other components are added. These do not overlay it at any time, but let it become darker and darker over time. From a bright bright red to a dark berry tone, there is no other way to describe the development.

I smell lipstick and see in my mind's eye a Marilyn Monroe with perfectly made-up lips and absolutely sexy "Happy Birthday Mr. President ..." breathing into the microphone. Could you get any sexier?

Iris Crush is sexy, seductive, sensual, erotic and modern. The fragrance has nothing, but absolutely nothing dusty about it, even if this lipstick note reminds me of times long past. Marilyn is an icon that stands for ever and ever for femininity and sexyness. She, and her wonderful movies, will be forever unforgotten and that's exactly what Iris Crush captures perfectly for me

Iris Crush is the first fragrance from Jimmy Choo that came under my nose, but this perfume has captivated me from the very beginning. It went "Boom" right away. The shelf life of more than 10 hours is absolutely not to be despised and easily outlasts a party night. Personally, I see Iris Crush more in a woman, because I don't know any man in my/our circle of acquaintances who would wear the fragrance and for whom it would be even remotely suitable. But that doesn't mean anything, because there are certainly men who would wear the scent and for whom it fits. In my experience, many fragrances on men's skin develop differently and perhaps some men sniff Iris Crush and share their experience with us. It would make me happy.

I was able to get hold of the fragrance as a bottling during a sharing and therefore I cannot rate the flacon. I have never seen it before, but on photos it looks simply beautiful and very noble.

My skin reflects scents very badly and therefore I do not rate the silage, because I never drag a scent trail behind me. Unfortunately

Juliette has a water pistol
I only knew the brand "Juliette Has A Gun" from hearsay, but the brand name suggested to me that people don't shoot with blanks, but really sharply and therefore I expected a fragrance with a good "bang".

Since I love Iris fragrances, I was very happy to get a bottling of Liquid Illusion when I shared it. The anticipation was huge and my disappointment afterwards was much, much bigger. But one thing at a time.

When spraying it on I smell a lipstick note that I like very much and that arouses my curiosity. Something great must simply follow. Unfortunately not much is happening anymore, although a creamy/powdery note is added. The Tuberose has cancelled its appearance and Tonka doesn't want to appear either. From a fragrance in this price range I expect a bit more than just powdery/creamy lipstick, although I think it's very nice. What I find much worse is that LI can only be perceived when I press my nose directly on the spot where I sprayed before and I still have to search for it like a drug sniffer dog.

My husband clearly smells the almond and floral scent, but not lipstick. All in all he perceives the scent differently than I do, but he also describes it as extremely discreet.

Several hours after application, a wonderful, cool whiff of fragrance rises up into my nose again and again, which I cannot name. This is definitely LI, even though I cannot perceive an iris as I know it and also none of the other ingredients listed in the pyramid.

LI leaves me at a loss. I can't and don't like to judge this scent, even if I like the one that is wafting into my nose every now and then. From a perfume, which is not even cheap, I clearly expect more. I would like to be ensnared and permanently accompanied and a rather coincidental appearance, like weather lights on the horizon, is not enough for me

Maybe it is simply because of my skin, which reflects scents very badly and I do poor Juliette wrong. Maybe she really shoots sharply and I just don't hear or smell the bang. Maybe there is also an olfactory substance that can only be perceived by a few selected super noses and my olfactory organ simply does not belong to this elitist circle. But after spraying 7 times (in words: seven times) you should perceive a little more, right? Questions over questions and I am, which actually rarely happens, completely speechless and helpless. But the name fits perfectly, because for me the fragrance is just an illusion.

Black tuberose?
As soon as a fragrance has the addition of "black", "noir", "dark", "mystique" or similar in its name, I get quite nervous. Why is that? I don't know, but somehow I seem to associate the mysterious and the mysterious with it, and that attracts me magically. Curiosity and stuff

However, Tubereuse Noir is in no way dark or even black. It starts off very bright with ylang and quite quickly the tuberose is added, which immediately forms a connection with the ylang. As was already written in the statements, this fragrance is suitable for all those who haven't yet ventured into fragrances with tuberose. There is nothing heavy, pompous, old-fashioned or even numbing about it - quite the opposite. TN stays bright and friendly all the time and the sandalwood adds something creamy, very smooth.

TN lasts for about 8 hours, but can only be seen when you get very close to me. To be fair I have to say that my skin reflects scents very badly and therefore I do not rate the silage. However, Jo Malone's scents are also known for restraint and not for murderous silage.

If you are looking for a quiet, light daytime scent, you should definitely test TN. The tuberose has been given an olfactory silencer and beginners, sceptics and cautious people can be confident. No one is killed, eaten or butchered by the tuberose. I swear it.

Change for tea?
Since I am a curious person, I had to rummage around in the net to find out what a "tea dress" actually is. According to my research, this type of dress was created in the late 19th century and was worn in private as a house dress, usually without a corset. This was probably the jogging pants of the late 19th century, but might have been much less comfortable and cosy.

Waterlily Tea Dress is an uncomplicated day scent with which you can do nothing wrong and which cannot only be worn at tea time. In the office, while shopping, at the cinema ... the possibilities are endless and WTD leaves a positive scent impression

The start is citric fresh, but not biting or pungent, but very pleasant. Lemonade with mint leaves, that's how I would describe the top note best. Sparkling, pleasantly refreshing without the mint sticking out. It is quickly joined by a delicate, translucent water lily, which lends the fragrance something delicate, almost tender. Then the floral component becomes more intense and lily of the valley displaces the water lily. However, the fragrance never becomes strenuous or sweet, because the freshness described at the beginning also underlines the lily of the valley. The light musk supports without weighing down and has a positive effect on the shelf life

WTD lasts for about 8 hours, but can only be perceived when you get very close to me. To be fair I have to say that my skin reflects scents very badly and therefore I do not rate the silage

All in all, WTD is a beautiful fragrance for warm days, without a lot of frills and frippery and can be used in many ways. I would not wear WTD in the evening for going out and celebrating, because the performance is not sufficient for that. The price/performance ratio is absolutely great and as soon as my bottling is empty, I will probably buy a bottle.

Summer, sun, good mood
The fragrance starts with ylang-ylang and orange blossom, with ylang being a little more prominent. I am surprised how much I like the fragrance right from the moment I spray it on. But between the flowers a touch of green freshness also flashes through. It could be a few grasses or even a mint leaf, but used in a very minimalist way.

Afterwards the fragrance becomes warm, but not in the sense of cuddly. For me it feels like sun on my skin. Not a glaring sun that burns the skin, but a pleasantly warming one - a sun in gold/orange.

Ylang Supreme brings a smile to my face and I feel like I'm on holiday. This pleasure lasts about 8 hours and gets creamier and softer towards the end. At the end I perceive a trace of vanilla sweetness, with which the fragrance leaves and melts away, like a beautiful sunset after a magical summer day.

The price/performance ratio is unbeatable and all those who are still looking for olfactory accompaniment, for little money, for spring/summer, should definitely try Ylang Supreme.

By sharing Parforgie I was allowed to get to know this beautiful scent and therefore I would like to thank you again at this point. My bottling will certainly be emptied very quickly and afterwards I will also buy Ylang Supreme.
