Boss Blue - the Shampoo
Basic profile roughly similar to e.g. "masculine Pluriel | Maison Francis Kurkdjian", but as expected overlaid with the 'apple cinnamon wood clean' Boss Bottled designer DNA.
The opening presents itself well, resulting in a rich, plastic, very pleasant fresh men's shower gel. Not a natural composition, but hardly fallible in its mass appeal. Once the most volatile components have evaporated, a compromise of the original profile remains. The drydown is therefore not a journey, but rather a reduction to the core components, a fresh, more sterile flanker to Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette .
In my opinion, the dark grey-blue color fits very well, as the lavender-rosemary tones are somewhat less dynamic.
As a serious fragrance for the professional-looking younger white collar worker or as a shampoo booster after sport, it is a perfectly acceptable choice, although Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette and Sauvage Eau de Parfum are exotic fragrances bursting with character in direct comparison.
It is a fragrance for all those who don't really want to have much to do with fragrance.
So for the right person, it's probably even a pretty safe blind buy. But someone like that probably wouldn't read any reviews here. Nevertheless, not a purchase I regret.

JoJo Aqua
The popular reference in the aquatic category. Light, watery, watermellony, dry as in not sweet, whiffs of flower. Slightly generic overall, but an excellent execution of the theme. Has a special dark vibration to it, which may be the "mineral notes" first majorly introduced with ADG Profondo, however I think these special molecules are what make this a modern AAA mens perfume.
ADG edp as opposed to edt has the florality toned down, for me taking it out of the "floral layerer" category.
In general, this layers well with various other mens scents, due to it's airy inoffensiveness.
I personally enjoy it with everything from DHS to LNDL, although the latter gives of a slight "perfume guy" discordance, stemming from the undecidedness in the secondary aroma components.
Probably a good blind buy or gift.
