A great fragrance!
To begin with, I have a soft spot for molecular fragrances and they work very well on my skin. MMW is, in my opinion, a molecular fragrance of the highest order and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth good. It does everything that "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules" does, only better. More intense fragrance, better projection and better durability. But its fragrance DNA is not new - yes, you've smelled it all before - but it's still super individual.

The synthetic-woody opening is clearly perceptible right from the start and develops quietly over the course of the fragrance, but is incredibly interesting, so I wouldn't want to be without it in my collection. Unobtrusive, yet perceptible and typical of molecular fragrances, simply incredibly unique on contact with the skin. Perfect for layering, perfect for events and visits where you want to smell fresh, clean and yet attractive without overwhelming the other person/people with it.

In my eyes, a very stylish fragrance that convinces with its unagitated nature. Woody spice, with - on my skin - good sillage and 1A durability.

Good fragrance, but...
First of all, I would like to ask you not to drive me through the village if I do not completely celebrate "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian" and also take a critical look at the composition here and there. Nevertheless - for the record - this is a good fragrance.

In my eyes, it would be an even better fragrance if it could maintain the magic of the opening. Here I can only say, WOW, a 10/10. This really does pass for an aphrodisiac. It smells like I'm popping 5 fruit gums in my mouth at once, a real explosion! Floral, fruity, sweet, seductive, erotic - simply amazing!

Unfortunately, Blonde Amber cannot maintain this magic in my eyes. Because after only about 5 minutes, the tobacco noticeably asserts itself. Many people celebrate this and I can understand why. The tobacco gives the fragrance corners and edges, a certain wickedness and yes, also character. In my eyes, however, it takes away this "light" and erotically seductive quality. Don't get me wrong, the fragrance remains interesting, it's just that I find the characteristic develops a bit pungent in my nose. I think it's a shame that it loses its lightness and that "special something" of its opening. It develops more arbitrarily for me. Yes, the fruits remain and so does the sweetness, but they scream more for attention, according to the motto: "here I am, notice me". The fragrance reveals its intention and thus loses its mystique. That's cool in the club! You're sure to stand out there and if you've decided to spend the night in other people's beds, you might even manage it.

Personally, I miss the elegance, the style, that something less "obvious". So I think you definitely have to be the type of man/woman for this fragrance. For me, this is an extroverted fragrance that doesn't hold back, that is loud and reveals its intention. If you can identify with this fragrance characteristic, go for it! The fragrance will not disappoint, even for the price. For everyone else who is a little more reserved, who is looking for something that smells seductive but is less offensive, yes, I would advise against this fragrance.

Somehow this may sound contradictory, but I'll summarize it again in a nutshell. The fragrance DNA is great, it has rough edges, captivates with ambery notes, a seductive sweetness and a smoky, noble tobacco. For me personally, however, it is too "puffy", too deliberate. But maybe I'm just not the type for such a loud fragrance. For the price, however, I would have hoped for that "certain something" more.

PS: I might buy a bottle and spray it on in the club. As mentioned above, I think it works best there.

Herod?! A doer!
In fact, I am sometimes amazed at how one and the same fragrance composition can evoke such different reactions. I've read about arch-enemies, "lack of masculinity" and a cry for attention. None of which I associate with Herod.

I, on the other hand, am immediately captivated by a wonderfully cinnamony opening with an aromatic, fruity cherry-tobacco note. Once sprayed on, I'm glued to my wrist so that I can keep sniffing this great fragrance.

After about 5-10 minutes, I feel that the hints of oriental from the opening fade and the vanilla comes to the fore a little more. The Herod remains sweet throughout, but in my opinion it is never tiring or sticky, but wonderfully soft and smooth. The cherry-tobacco note also remains present, but recedes somewhat over the course of the fragrance (after approx. 1.5-2 hours). As a result, the fragrance gains some pithiness in the drydown, which I personally associate with a slightly smoky, woody note.

I would describe the projection as okay (2023 batch), although not beastmode. All the less I can understand why some people think it screams for attention. In my opinion, there are much louder contenders such as "Oajan | Parfums de Marly" or "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff", which make more of a statement purely through their projection and say: "Here I am!" when entering a room

Of course, the "Herod | Parfums de Marly" also projects, but in my opinion, it is more close to the body and does not fill the room. I can also give the Herod a "good" rating in terms of longevity. The only danger I see is that you run the risk of becoming "nose-blind" to the fragrance relatively quickly and therefore sometimes no longer notice it (on yourself). That is the only criticism I can objectively make.

Otherwise, this fragrance composition convinces me in all respects and there are hardly any other fragrances that I would rather wear in the cold season. Whether on a date, at a family dinner or the next house party (if anyone is hosting one in the near future), you won't be left alone! People will want to take a sniff, I'm sure of it :)
