Powdery Cream-Girl-Fragrance =)
The scent starts sweet-powdery.
I would describe the fragrance impression as vanilla powder with delicate, creamy-floral notes.
In the very background, I perceive hints of fruity and gourmand notes that do not dominate the fragrance but rather underscore its juiciness.

The scent is relatively linear. Over time, the sweet powderiness tones down a bit and becomes lighter and creamier.
Overall, it is a fragrance that one is familiar with from shampoos, shower gels, or body lotions. Therefore, it comes across as very well-groomed and is a good everyday scent.

The longevity is really good, and the sillage is just right. It doesn’t fill rooms but is noticeable.

Price-performance is therefore top, top, top.

So definitely give it a try if you love sweet, powdery, and creamy scents!

Where Does the Coconut Come From?
In the opening:
Authentic vanilla pod in black espresso with warm, woody undertones and a hint of incense.

In the further development of the scent:
Subtle, only minimally sweet vanilla with a hint of coconut (even though it's not listed, I can clearly detect it). Accompanied by woody notes and a very refined, almost clean creaminess.

It vaguely reminds me, in nuances, of XerJoff's White and White.

The longevity is incredible. On my skin, 12 hours or more, on clothing, forever.

The sillage / projection is pleasant, but only with moderate use. Lightly applied, it's a dream; sprayed too much, it could definitely be a headache candidate.

For me as a woman, it's unisex with a slight tendency towards the masculine, likely due to the robust notes of coffee, incense, and woods.

All in all, a great fragrance that is worth testing in my opinion.

Like a Cat on Catnip ^^
I admit it: I find Tom Ford fragrances silly :/
The scents usually just don't match my taste and are also a bit overpriced. Let's not even talk about the bottles...

So it's hardly surprising that I haven't given the brand much attention. "Vanilla Sex / Vanilla | Tom Ford" passed me by so completely that I thought it was a new release when I discovered it recently at Douglas ^^ Far from it, as the saleswoman explained to me. How embarrassing for a fragrance nerd :D

Now finally to the scent:
Sprayed - uuuhhhhiii how beautiful :) such a lovely, vanillic powder cloud with an aura of roasted almond. That's how one wants to smell, right? Okay, maybe a bit boring, such a one-dimensional vanilla-almond.
But STOP, what is that suddenly? Sweat? Blood? Skin? Not stinky or musty... Rather human, animalistic. To kneel down, to lay down, to roll around in it. Do you know the reactions of cats to catnip? Exactly like that! :)

The scent character matches its presence, by the way. It has (apart from the opening) a rather private projection. A great, sexy scent for intimate hours.
And there's absolutely nothing to complain about regarding longevity. The scent easily lasts 7-8 hours, on clothing even noticeably longer.

I can hardly understand the many negative reviews, as the scent itself is great. Surely, the fragrance doesn't appeal to the standard Tom Ford customer.
The scent dances a bit out of line and doesn't quite fit into Ford's repertoire.

Huge luck for me and an appeal to everyone not to be deterred by the reviews here. Because ultimately, everyone has different tastes and, as with all fragrances, you have to test it yourself.

Daily Alternative to Tom Ford Vanilla Sex? Yes or No?
Recently, "Vanilla Sex / Vanilla | Tom Ford" joined my collection, and folks, I am celebrating this scent so much that I immediately set out to find a cheaper "everyday" alternative.

In addition to Maison Alhambra's Sensual Vanilla, "Sehr Lattafa / سحر لطافة | Lattafa / لطافة" also came into play.

But first, let's talk about the scent:
"Sehr Lattafa / سحر لطافة | Lattafa / لطافة" starts for my nose similarly to "Khamrah / خمرة | Lattafa / لطافة". You can imagine the opening as a softer, lighter Khamrah. A bit less fruitiness, but more vanilla and a decent portion of cinnamon and bitter almond. You can genuinely detect the listed notes here.

As the scent develops, both the bitter almond and cinnamon gradually recede. The fragrance becomes more tonka-vanilla-like. At the same time, the woody notes that delicately underline the fragrance from the beginning become more dominant.

In the base, only warm, slightly spicy, and vanillic wood remains on my skin.

A great scent progression, especially considering the price. Absolutely unisex, although for me as a woman, it might be a bit too woody-bitter.

Is it a good alternative to "Vanilla Sex / Vanilla | Tom Ford"? Absolutely not! Unfortunately...
In my opinion, these scents have nothing in common other than both containing vanilla and bitter almond. The execution and the nuances are completely different.
I find "Sehr Lattafa / سحر لطافة | Lattafa / لطافة" to be completely independent. It is not a true alternative to any of the scents it is supposed to resemble. Social media attributes quite a bit to "Sehr Lattafa / سحر لطافة | Lattafa / لطافة" ^^

Even though I was looking for something different, "Sehr Lattafa / سحر لطافة | Lattafa / لطافة" is a great fragrance and definitely worth a test. Whether a bottle will find its way to me remains to be seen.

A DNA you know...
The first impression that many will have: I know this from somewhere!

Admittedly, it does remind me a bit of Black Tie, Shalimar Iris, or Bois Dore. I can even somehow pick out Tonka Bodykon.

For me, the scent is most similar to Iris Dragées. It is definitely warmer and more vanilla-like, but there is also an undeniable kinship of the first or second degree here.

To my nose, Iris (even though officially not listed) is clearly detectable in combination with something vanilla-like, laconic, and slightly balsamic. It even has minimal gourmand hints, without becoming edible.

Once again, a beautiful scent from the house of Céline and definitely worth a test if you like the aforementioned fragrance direction. Just be aware that you won’t find anything innovative here. Most likely, you already have something similar in your fragrance collection.
