Total miss Celine DNA outlier

I don’t know what’s going on here- this is a total flop for me. I love Celine’s DNA and most of the line.
1. Celine’s gorgeous vanilla is missing here, replaced with a weird plasticky chapstick textured caramel/vanilla.
2. None of Celine’s wondeful Orris- okay.
There is barely a whisper of powdery amber under this strange plastic vanilla toffee?
This smells NOTHING like Shalimar Iris (a favorite of mine) not black tie or Dans Paris.
There is also a tartness (maybe Tonka) that comes across like fruity pebbles or cereal fruitiness. I wish they pushed the quirkiness and amped up the projection, maybe I would enjoy it more. It’s like when your favorite band put out a flop- disappointing.

Dimmed perfection

Celine, Celine - you've really hit it out of the park again. Although Celine doesn't quite fit the bill.
Celine doesn't bang, it doesn't clunk. Celine fragrances appear, float in, stroll..
Just like this dream of a poem.
When I read the fragrance notes, I already knew roughly what to expect, and yet I was caught off guard as I ran to my wife, beaming with joy, to inhale the delicious scent in her slipstream.
Celine can do vanilla like only Guerlain can. They have definitely created their own DNA, and in this combination with tonka, musk and benzoin, which is by no means anything new on the market, they have delivered their masterpiece.

Now some will complain about the short shelf life or the lack of sillage, but I think it's just right the way it is.
Less is definitely more here. You are not overwhelmed, it is still present for a long time, it sometimes disappears, only to come back again, and then becomes even more beautiful at the end.

Where Dans Paris used to be my favorite, two divine creations from Celine are now among my favorites. While I love Zouzou on my wife, I wear Dans Paris in the evening, that's as good as it gets.

Celine, Celine - you enchant me, stay true to yourself and surprise us again sometime, I can hardly wait.

The fragrant counterpart to a chameleon

Zouzou has what I smell as caramel threads in Shalimar Millésime Iris, the airy, light vanilla from Dans Paris and a hint of the powderiness from Black Tie. I can also guess what dear Cardea meant by the Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum interpretation: there is a hint of BR 540 (perhaps because of the caramel tones?), but minimal and with the elegance typical of Celine (if there were more, I would flee as quickly as possible). Zouzou is clearly a child of the Celine family!

So first of all, it's not really something I would need, as the fragrance is a kaleidoscope of many scents in my collection. On the other hand, there is something else that makes it different. There is something tart in Zouzou, a slightly green accent; a heap of earth; a crumbled piece of dark chocolate. The fragrance constantly shifts back and forth between all facets; sometimes more sweet, sometimes more earthy, but always powdery - just like a chameleon.

So, to summarize briefly: a blend of other fragrances - all of which are contained in a subdued form. And yet independent with an exciting green/tart/earthy/chocolatey background noise that I think is terrific. Very successful!

Sweet seduction in Milan

Zouzou by Celine is a fragrance that surprised and immediately delighted me with its many facets. From the very first application, a harmonious, addictive blend of vanilla sweetness and seductive lightness unfolds, which immediately captivates.

But right from the start...
Milan, end of August - it's hot. Too hot for a sightseeing tour, so we used the day for an extended fragrance stroll.
We visited many exclusive perfumeries and boutiques, but I would particularly like to highlight the excellent advice we received from Celine Milano, which rounded off my fragrance trip perfectly. The competent and passionate support helped me to discover Zouzou for myself - a fragrance that can be worn both in everyday life and on special occasions.

Zouzou is playful and sophisticated at the same time. The seductive sweetness of vanilla paired with benzoin gives the fragrance an inviting warmth, while the patchouli note grounds the scent and makes it appear elegantly restrained. This balance between sweet sensuality and elegant restraint makes Zouzou an extraordinary fragrance experience that cannot easily be pigeonholed.
For me, it is a successful blend of Black Tie and Coromandel, a touch of nostalgia combined with modern sophistication.
Zouzou is vanilla sweet, but I wouldn't put it in the gourmand category.
I would describe it as a unisex fragrance with a slight feminine tendency. Surprisingly, my partner also liked it so much that we bought the 200 ml bottle in the Celine boutique on the same day. Our first fragrance together...
The bottle is very simple and I like the magnetic cap.
With its subtle sillage, Zouzou is also suitable as a daily companion from September to May.
The longevity could be a little better, at least in terms of radiance, but it lasts quite a long time close to the skin.

For anyone looking for a perfume that combines playful sweetness with an elegant and grown-up base, Zouzou is a wonderful choice.
However, you should like vanilla.
A fragrance that adapts to every situation without losing depth and character.

Typical Celine!

I was so excited about this fragrance and could hardly wait for the release!
Because I love almost all of Celine's fragrances and the scents really appealed to me.

When I first sniffed it, I immediately thought: Typical Celine!
But I mean that in a positive way -
This creamy, airy, delicate vanilla reminds me of Dans Paris
The spiciness and the slightly sparkling (at the beginning) immediately made me think of Parade and partly of Black Tie
However, the Zouzou is "darker" and more mysterious - she is the "rebellious" sister among the Celines mentioned above.

It is not always easy to describe a fragrance with other fragrances.
So I'll describe the fragrance without the references:
The vanilla is super beautiful and light: lightly whipped and simply delicious! It is in the foreground at the beginning.
Later, it subordinates itself without disappearing! Then comes the drydown:
A grounded base that is simply pleasant and beautifully integrates and complements the spice.
The fragrance is warm and harmonious.
The powderiness is beautiful and lightens everything up.
The creaminess gives a feeling of "nourished skin" and is also very smooth.

For me, it is very close to the skin - also the durability is not so strong.
That's a shame, because it's a beautiful fragrance!
