Playing with opposites
I'm a big fan of Thai cuisine. It works with contrasts and is therefore particularly attractive: sweet-sharp, sweet-sour, fruity-sharp, etc. These stimuli activate all senses and refresh the mind.
I feel very similar to the style of Jil Sander. At the beginning Style is very spicy fruity and peppery fresh. The abundance of different notes reminds almost a little of a visit to a spice bazaar and has a very refreshing effect. There is the pink pepper, floral hot and the spicy cardamom, which reminds of curry. The bitter skin of green mango and the flowery sweetness of freesia. Very exciting and unusual, yet very clear and fresh.
The scent changes, the walk through the bazaar continues past the fruit and flower merchants straight to the smokehouse where fine vanilla, amber and musk as well as iris roots spread their fine and seductive scent. Now the fragrance is also changing: the flowery peppery freshness becomes powdery, warm and softly woody but not sweet. Great job!
The dark vanilla is kept in check by the spices and the mango and therefore does not gain the upper hand. All in all, it lasts a good 8 hours on me and is therefore absolutely suitable for office use. No re-spraying is necessary.
Similar to Guerlain, Jil Sander uses powdery fragrances with a vanilla base. However, the fragrances are less playful and do not have the excellent quality of Guerlain fragrances. In return, however, they are kept clearer and more minimalist to match Haus Sander. In addition, they are also cheaper, which is not unimportant for many people.
Style lives up to its name: A very special elegant companion for official occasions. It's not just a superficial boring vanilla scent. No, it is exciting, interesting and sophisticated, a light oriental with a bitter note. A test recommendation for all who like vanilla but don't want to smell of sweet vanilla pudding.
