The rose in this is amazing - wine-like, deep red, with nuances of black tea. Truly gorgeous.

A perfectly made, safe for work musc scent. It smells good, mostly heliotrope with just enough rose to give it air. I just wish it was less safe.

Descriptions invariably mention “masculine”, yet smelled unaware at a woman’s counter, you’d claim it a rich, layered feminine. Gorgeous on either.

And: One of the most decadently cloud-like sprayers I’ve ever encountered. Sublime.

I like this but am always struck by how similar this reads on me to L’Artisan’s Voleur de Roses, ( the vintage version).

The prima-donna of rose centric perfumes. A real diva. If you love rose fragrances, this is a must try!

I kept forgetting this is Rosine and not Goutal - it shares the later’s penchant for fleeting, well-made scents that don’t take themselves too serious

The vintage No5 extrait is incomprable. My gateway into Chanel aldehydes and my preference in No5 versions.

Instant comfort. Powder, resin, slight booziness, spice, creamy sweetness - perfectly balanced for an effect much like snuggling under a cozy blanket

One of those perfumes that, for me at least, remain in the things I want to smell but not wear category. Very worthwhile to sample, unique.
