Mystic Crystal Shop
As far as Zoologist goes, I think Musk Deer is a pretty safe bet and will probably be a crowd pleaser for the masses.

On my chemistry, the major notes were cardamom, Jasmin, patchouli and cedar. I didn't really get a deer with this creation as much as the dark, bitter cold of the longest day of winter. That or a mystic crystal/astrologer booth which sells incense or heady perfumes.

This is one of the stronger scents for Zoologist. It's good, but wasn't really unique enough to add to my collection, but a safe choice for most.

A Sweet Freezer Burn
This one was very odd on my skin. When first applied, vetiver takes the main stage, but is soon replaced by a sweetened cedar. On my clothing, vetiver and neroli create a spicy green scent with a hint of sweetened cocoa.

After an hour, I began to smell like freezer burn on my skin. On my clothing it remained a very sweet green scent with a slight hint of carrot and spice.

The longevity/sillage was okay. You would need a good 4 hits to make this one stay a bit longer. But I do find unlike the other Zoologist scents I've, this one stops morphing after 30 minutes so the adventure isn't as interesting. I do feel as if the original Beaver represents the animal a bit better than this one. I got more of a caterpillar vibe than a beaver.

T-Rex is Still Kicking Hind End and Taking Notes
Wow, I had heard the rumors, but I was not prepared. I'm sure this is the case for many. After the first blast, I knew my life had changed as the scent is still being burned into my memory.

Differences in chemistry and how one perceives notes will make all the difference. Some people mentioned this was a flower blast with smoke, which I was hoping would be my destiny. Instead, it was pure pepper, ash, gasoline fire and smoke. It reminded me of a smoke house with cheap cuts and a poor pepper rub. After 10-15 minutes I began feeling this puppy in my lungs and nose, my head starting to have a slight ache. The pepper was mighty!

If you can stand having this on your body for more than an hour, it will mellow on the skin. to a smoky, dark pungent smoke flower, but on my shirt, it was unrelenting. The original scent would not budge. I had to take my shirt and throw it in the wash. Body chemistry will be important for this one.

This scent lives up to its name. It reminded me of the T-Rex who was just far enough from the meteor blast zone to not get obliterated, but close enough to get charred. That or Hades. This is what hell smells like. I appreciate the art of the scent, but I won't be visiting this ride again. My sinuses will never be the same.

Very Little Sillage and Longevity
Of all the Zoologist scents I have tried thus far, Cow is probably the most accessible to most people. It's a very safe scent with many familiar notes which blend together into a peaceful mix reminding me of a lone cow munching on grass on a fresh spring day.

On first spray, I could smell the bright notes of apple, milk and sweet grass. But as the top notes dissipated, Lily of the Valley became the more prominent scent. The scent was never too cloying even on first spray. At the one hour mark, the scent had changed slightly depending on location. When testing a scent I wear it on my skin and clothing which makes a huge difference. On my skin it became a sweeter floral apple scent with a hint of grass. while on my clothing, it was a very grassy almost bitter scent.

My major complaint with Cow as the longevity. By 1.5 hours, it was almost completely gone. I had to put my nose directly on my wrist and clothing to get any scent. For me, this made the fragrance a bit of a "no." I would like a fragrance to last at least 4 to 5 hours before I add it to my collection. But beyond that, the scent didn't really wow me. It was very pleasant, but not unique enough.

Underrated Perfectly Mixed Beauty
I didn't think I would care for this scent, but it's a refreshing beauty. The first notes are a blast of ocean, wood and greenery. If you sniff a bit deeper, you may pick up on the musky castoreum note, though it doesn't last long.

After an hour, it morphed into a watery woodsy mix with a hint of leather and sweetness. There was one odd note which I can only describe as Band-Aid. It may be from the leather mixing with the other notes which creates this, but it's a bit distinct.

As with the other Zoologist scents I've tried, Beaver only lasted 4-5 hours before becoming a skin scent. It does last longer on clothing, but for me, the notes are different when on my skin. Also, the sillage is on the lighter side. This isn't a beast mode scent and would be pretty unassuming making it great for all occasions.
