In the northwest of England we spend a wonderfully warm day in the countryside. Here in one of the most beautiful nature parks of the United Kingdom, the so-called Lake District shines for a change once the sun.
We walk barefoot along the narrow paths through the lush herb garden of our hosts.
Just now it had rained, as this happens typically often in this part of the world.
The smell of warm spring rain still lingers in the air, and who knows how long the clouds will release the beautifully brilliant blue of the sky for us this time.
Our curiosity has drawn us here, and over afternoon tea we have already learned quite a bit about the engaging scent of wild roses, the spice of green herbs such as thyme, et al, and the unmistakable magic in the lovely fragrance of delicate flowers.
When the sun finally shines glistening with warming rays through the window panes entwined with climbing roses into our faces, we instantly agree that we want to give our tea party a little time out and dedicate our senses to the enjoyment of botanical beauties.
We were wholly indifferent to the fact that, in the course of our animated conversation, our feet had already shed their corsets of elegant footwear.
But now this circumstance, which just now had so abruptly caused general amusement, helped us to an unplanned but much more pleasurable experience of nature and its diversity, with which it was once created by an ingenious mind.
Beneath our feet we felt the softness of fresh leaves and bright green stems, and the floral scent of lily of the valley and hyacinths sent us into a frenzy of faded memories.
I closed my eyes and thought back to lovely hours in lovely company, reveling in a romantic dream surrounded by floral freshness and white tea.

The noble EdP is a long-lasting (8/10), fresh-spicy men's fragrance that celebrates its Mediterranean origins in an energetic yet pleasantly restrained manner. Bittersweet citrus notes and herbaceous juniper were masterfully arranged with some hand-warm woods and very stylishly used pink pepper to a striking projecting (6/10) extremely appealing fine resinous fragrance composition.

Absolutely remarkable is the price / performance ratio (9/10). If you take into account that the manufacturer has committed to deal gently with natural resources, to use mainly natural ingredients, to pay special attention to health aspects and to renounce animal testing 100%, you have to take your hat off appreciatively before such idealism.

Mmh! "Slate" - a scent that leads you outdoors at dawn. Night memories linger like cool mist in the mysterious world of the forest. Occasional creaks in the wood. Otherwise only the indescribable silence of the mountains. The path runs pleasurably through precious, sensual sandalwood notes that make you forget about time over delightfully gnarled roots of oudh, labdanum and vetiver. Pink peppercorn and cardamom, provide sharp-sweet for a warm glow, for which the journey was worthwhile once again.

Bathhouse fragrance is a delightfully spicy-woody men's EdC founded in 1997 by a creative team of artists and designers, all of whom live and work in the Lake District. Here, in the wild north west of England, in Cumbria, set in one of the UK's 15 beautiful national parks, some 130km from Manchester, unique fragrances and grooming products inspired by the beauty of nature are created and packaged with the utmost care and high standards of quality.

In durability 7/10 and sillage 7/10, it is in no way inferior to the other fragrances of this company focused on sustainability. "Bathhouse uses natural ingredients in all of their products. The name of this noble perfume brought to mind the colorful historical spectacle about the equally fictional and swashbuckling English naval officer Horatio Hornblower, alias Gregory Peck. This thrilling cruising monumental flick from 1951, with its genre-standard sailing ship pile-ups, saber fights and the hero's melodramatic sailor love affair with a certain Lady Barbara Wellesley, niece of the Duke of Wellington, once provided perfect entertainment and thrilling wave action. But "The King's Admiral" and the wonderfully successful fragrance creation by Didier Gaglewski from the French fragrance capital of Grasse, offer little in common at first glance apart from the blue uniform.

"L'Amiral" is a soothingly fresh little water in an elegantly slim bottle. A fragrance for the season with rising temperatures, which awaken in man and woman the thought to look for lighter fragrances. That's when aquatic perfumes like this are in season. Right after the invigorating essences of bergamot and mandarin, it is the menthol-lavender mix that feels like pleasantly cooling and immediately surrounds you with the most beautiful Mediterranean mood. Light, gentle, noble, bright and pleasing, a warm base of sandalwood underlines the fine character of this grandiose unisex perfume, which unfolds at first slightly projecting, then soon close to the body over many hours of the day very stylish.

Hmmphrhmm, ... what can I say? The intrepid captain had fatally a soft heart and melted in the face of unheard-of beauty of Lady Barbara, who for her part had long since agreed to embark on a joint journey to the stars out of gratitude for the equally self-sacrificing and selfless care of the officer of equal profile. One detail, however, should not escape the attentive observer of the Samaritan scene - on the bedside table of her fantasizing ladyship - the only effective remedy against swamp fever: a soothing little water in an elegantly slim flacon!

Mmh! There comes to me in the executive floor still a summery dressed gentleman. Chic chambray look with proper "pep" - should mean pepper and peppermint - and charming iris. Returns my gaze briefly, not obtrusively. Okay, seems a little edgy, but still well tolerable, clear, not perfect, but authentic. "May I let you go first?" - Gladly! =)

The summery floral-spicy fragrance comes in an equally restrained handy flacon, which one (s) can leave quietly next to the shaving utensils, without having to fear that it disappears in the course of the family morning routine later in one of the cabinets.
