Resinous Woody Hearty
Rhizome 02 was not on my radar until a visit to the local fragrance temple (Parfümerie Becker). When I said I was still looking for something nice for Christmas and after I explained what I liked, the dedicated saleswoman introduced me to this perfume.

I've been wearing the fragrance for a few days now, spraying it regularly so that I can fully immerse myself in it and appreciate its many facets. It is important for me to understand the perfume I wear.

Let's move on to my impressions:

On first spraying, the distinctive, earthy warmth of resins and woody notes is immediately noticeable. The woody accents are reminiscent of the deep-rooted wood of a centuries-old tree, while the resinous nuances convey the warmth and scent of fresh resin in the air after a rain - a striking, almost balsamic effect that makes the fragrance both earthy and calming.

If you're looking for sweetness, you won't find it in this fragrance - it's more ethereal, but not overpowering or penetrating.

Rhizome 02 is the ideal fragrance for people who appreciate the raw, yet warm and calming aspects of wood and resin

"[...] what smells like church here"
I have owned the Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero for 2 days now and have been wearing it ever since, spraying it regularly, because it is important to me to really understand new fragrances in my collection and give them time to be noticed by me.

I bought this fragrance blind, in search of "the scent" that would make me stand out for the upcoming Christmas celebrations and get me noticed. I also liked what I had researched about the fragrance - I'm the type for dark, heavy, "dirty" fragrances - others can wear lemon water, but not me.

Now let's move on to my impressions:

Immediately after spraying it on, the often-mentioned alcoholic note is very noticeable - but it's not boozy alcohol like rum or whisky, but rather cleaning alcohol, completely sterile without warmth. However, this first impression fades quite quickly (more or less fortunately) and other components come to the fore - yes, there was the moment when I thought "there's the diaper" - my daughter is just 15 months old, so yes, somehow a hint of urine is perceptible, but rather in the background and certainly not penetrating or overtly perceptible, but really only if you concentrate and think about it "Wait, what is that?" ...

Once this has also faded, a warming, slightly sweet incense fragrance emerges. Once the incense is there, it stays. I don't smell anything else worth mentioning behind, in between, above or below it where I would say "YES, that's exactly ...."

I can't explicitly smell the much-described honey - the incense has something sweet, definitely - is that from the honey? I do not know.

I like the fragrance, but in terms of silage and longevity it performed below my expectations - it's not bad - but it doesn't jump out at you either. It doesn't roar, it's just subtly sweet and incense-like, much quieter than I had expected.

Short anecdote: Last night I was sitting on the bench with my best friend at my son's taekwondo training and my best friend asked "You're wearing incense perfume, aren't you?" After I said yes, he said "I've been wondering what smells like church the whole time".

Here you get the fair read ...
Joop ... who does not know it? Earlier, as a teenager, you were a doer if you had put at Rossmann 17,95€ for the pink EDT on the counter - yes, the classmates were taken, the girls loved this fragrance.

But Joop has more to offer, there is for example the Joop Homme perfume, which is much more adult than the EDT. And there is this one, Joop Homme absolute.

The is somehow the big dark brother of the Joop series, which is what for the untamed carriers, an incense bomb - original church, but also sweetish - tonka bean, the pepper in the top note is so fleeting that it only tickles the nose directly after spraying on.

The incense becomes somewhat milder in the course, but is dominant for hours. Also in the sillage one perceives this clearly. The fragrance is engaging, it is permanently present - that but without "annoying". Beautiful overall picture offers the Joop Homme Absolute, a true recommendation for all who do not want to smell like the standard.

End of the line Fanggorn Forest...
Like Lalique's EDT, Encre Noir, the final destination here is also called Middle Earth, Fanggorn Forest. Unlike the EDT, however, the ÀL Extreme offers a neck pillow before the ride.

The perfume makes everything just as gloomy, mossy, green, but not as brute as the EDT, is somehow more cuddly and easier to like, but without cloyingly playful.

For the price lifted (about 25 -30€), the perfume delivers a great performance, the scent is distinctive, neatly perceptible and stands out from the crowd without standing out.

Beastmode Cheapie . . .

One of my first fragrances - inexpensive, probably hooked on the hype around this fragrance, I bought this for about 30€.

Arrived, tried and immediately taken by this warm, comforting aura. The Bentley Men Intense just delivers, an absolute performer, Beastmode as they say.

From the setting, we are in a dimly lit bar, an Irish pub could be, in the air are fleetingly the smells of various spirits, ... Thomas Shelby, yes, that would be a fragrance that Thomas Shelby would wear, masculine, mature, warm, serious to take, that is a fragrance for the gentleman in the heavy coat.

The fragrance is successful all around, strong presence, great sillage, but not unpleasantly intrusive, whether that is rum or cognac, I can not say exactly but it definitely does not smell like Jim Beam for 13,99€. Durability easy a whole day with me.
