Ida and how to see the world
This is about perfume and so the title may be a bit theatrical and the terms "the world" and "sees" may be replaced by "perfume" and "smells". Maybe I'm a little too "philosophical" at the moment, I hope you check it out for me ;).

For me, Violet Ida is a prime example of the fact that we humans not only have different preferences, but also perceive things differently, in the concrete case the noses somehow tick differently. Of course this is not a new insight, but in this example it is so striking for me that I take it as an occasion for a comment. My own perception of this fragrance differs from the predominant findings here so far, and also from the impressions of the perfumes, where I otherwise tend to think of similarities to mine. This shows me that we can always be surprised.

So yesterday my bottling arrives. My odor-sensitive lover smells at the sprayer and says: it smells somehow like vegetables. Between frightened and disbelieving I open the PC to look for the pyramid, and lo and behold : carrot. I spray the scent on, 1 spray to each neck, another one distributed on both wrists and immediately notice some citric tart, less the carrot, but I am irritated because I expect an iris scent. But seconds later it does show itself, and the irritating impression is gone. To the Iris joins a fine sweetness (Heliotrop) and I think " promising ", although the man at my side is still not enthusiastic. In the further process a powdery sweetness (heliotrope and vanilla) dominates for me the smell, the fine and at the beginning for me beautiful iris can not assert itself unfortunately with me, she flashes up only completely occasionally and contributes something buttery. The fragrance is extremely long-lasting, which is sure to please its lovers. For me personally about 6 hours durability would have been enough, because during this time I find him quite beautiful and balanced and he gets from me the '8', then it becomes too sweet to me.
The " vegetable man " finds him, by the way, in the course with me also mainly powdery-sweet. We occasionally have the same opinions about scents, not always.

It will come as no surprise to me that Violet Ida is not a fragrance twin from Sable Or. But of course I think that others here feel him that way, and that's why I envy these noses.

Just as I can only see the world with my eyes, I can only smell with my nose. And I can be open to and curious about the perception of others, which makes my world a little more diverse. So I am looking forward to further impressions about this and other fragrances.

Soul scent and the thing with half a glass standing up
Since the first test sprayer Rubinia was on my wish list and since the day before yesterday in my collection. This is the reason for my comment, although I can't describe any completely new impressions or impressions that deviate from my previous commentator.

The scent touches something in my soul, so I have a need to write about it. I gave it a 9.0 rating, although I can't even say that I fully and exclusively like it. This may sound strange to you readers and will hopefully become a little more understandable as you continue.

Besides the perception of scents, attributes go through my head as special and special and different, sometimes even peculiar. This is due to an exotic note that blends into the otherwise predominantly balsamic almond scent. I still do not know whether it is primarily due to the copaiba balsam, because I have not yet encountered it in its pure form. It's probably just the interplay of a lot of things. This many is for me:

- Tonka almond
to the same extent
- Sandalwood-creamy
a little less
- Jasmine flowery and mandarin fruity
and in between
- creamy- powdery

I don't notice an essential course, the scent is quite constant on me, apart from the powderiness, which occurs only temporarily for me and which I perceive much more strongly at warmer temperatures than at cool. For me it is a fragrance for the coming season, autumn, possibly also winter. Plus 100% feminine, I can't imagine him in a man. The durability is in contrast to the other Le Gemme fragrances I have gotten to know extraordinarily good. I always find it difficult to evaluate the sillage, but what I can contribute is that I can perceive the fragrance well myself over a period of up to 10 hours. 2-3 fine sprays are enough for this.

Rubinia for me is more a scent of well-being than a perfume. So I don't even know if I want to wear it in everyday life, during activity, in company. Certainly not to smell good for others. No, I wear it when I feel like deceleration, security and peace. Then Rubinia gives a pleasant feeling, as Gandix has already described it in her apt commentary with'familiarity' and'balancing-harmonising'.

However, for me it is not a sofa-cuddle-smell, nothing to loiter in the jogging pants, a piece of ready-made pizza in my hand. Not at all, because the other qualities I attribute to her are a kind of sublime beauty and elegance. Rubinia does not want to please, she "is". I combine wearing them with a well-groomed evening accompanied by relaxing music, on which you dress yourself, even on your own, perhaps casually but carefully. Or by visiting an art exhibition at a time of day when only a few visitors can romp around and enjoy in silence.

When I started writing the commentary, I didn't feel I could say much, especially not much new, about the fragrance. Then this line from a song by Reinhard Mey came to my mind "What I still had to say takes a cigarette and a last glass standing up". Strange that one remembers some songs from earlier times that one never hears again. I then looked up the text and think many lines from it fit quite well to this forum. I would like to say goodbye from the comment then times with these:

"... I thank you for the time I have chatted with you'
And for your patience, if there was more than one opinion
For never asking when I'm coming or going
For the ever-open door I'm standing in now..."

2 sprayers on wrist....
.... nothing more, I was able to spray them today at Bvlgari from the freshly arrived test bottle. And since a few perfumes are already excited about the fragrance, I report my first cautious impressions.

It starts with a blast of iris. Well, just another iris scent, I think, fortunately nothing you have to have. Very dry is this iris, and absolutely unsweet.

Very soon, however, after 30-45 minutes, a warm note is added. Ambra? With Iris? I have never smelt like this before, but it fits somehow and makes the fragrance directly more extraordinary and interesting for me. And also more beautiful. He also gets a touch sweeter, not really sweet, but since I wrote 'absolutely unsweet' earlier, I'd like to mention that. In fact, I suddenly imagine that I am aware of all the fragrances that have been mentioned, although I usually, or at least mostly, do not consider this to be one of my talents. Musk, in any case, is something I perceive a short time later. Only jasmine doesn't show itself to me directly. After 1 hour the fragrance develops a beautiful warmth. All notes perfectly interwoven, so he should stay for me.

But he's not. Gradually, the musk portion becomes more and more important. After 2 hours I feel Nylaia as musk scent with iris. And, yes, something jasmine-like could also be in it, at least a little bit of floral. Since I have the impression that not much will develop now, I simply set the comment.

Like all fragrances from the Le Gemme series that I've tested so far, this one is rather close and discreet, apart from the first few minutes. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. Is he worth his price? Probably only if you include the bottle, which alone is a kind of piece of jewellery that wants to be paid for.

Additional information on 17.08. after 2nd and 3rd test:
I still find the base the most beautiful, which fortunately shows up very early, after 1 hour at the latest. The iris in the scent is too dry-herb for me, I perceive it especially at the beginning, or when I spray the scent on clothes. On my skin it is fortunately, as soon as the fragrance "sits down", no longer dominant. I also find the musk, which I found too strong in the first test, more discreet and pleasantly interwoven. Benzoe is also responsible for the warmth I feel, which I hadn't mentioned before.
