Wore this yesterday temperature was about 58 degrees slightly breezy with mild to heavy rains. At first spray I’m like this fragrance reminds me of _____ (blank) couldn’t put my head around it so I quickly left my residence and headed for work; yes I don’t mind wearing heavy polarizing scents to work. I got in my car and it came to me “Jovoy’s Private Label” (which I own), during the day the fragrance lingered until my shifted ended some 12 hours later. I noticed the fragrance had changed from woody earthy to woody skanky perhaps even animalic on my skin which made me admire the fragrance a little more.

I came home sprayed Jovoy’s Private Label on one wrist and Malle’s Monsieur on the other, I read on here that people thought this fragrance smelled similar to Dyptique’s Tempo so I sprayed that on my forearm. Let me say this, to my nose this smells nothing like Tempo both completely different. Tempo is linear and smells virtually the same throughout the life of the fragrance (chocolate like) and doesn’t even hint at Monsieur. Private Label and Monsieur only share similarities in the opening and it’s nearly identical, however like Tempo, Private Label pretty much stays linear throughout its entirety with slight changes while Monsieur goes in it’s own direction and maybe even has a dry down closer to a mix of Jovoy’s Psychedelique and Les Jeux sont Faits. Monsieur is an awesome fragrance; I loved the transitions and I hope to buy it sometime in the near future.
