Vintage gem.
I'm enjoying this fragrance much more than I expected. By the reviews I assumed it would be more of a cooler weather scent but, for me, this could be worn every day of the year.
And while I do agree that it is a unique scent, I find it difficult to believe many people would dislike smelling this on you.
I was fortunate enough to find a vintage bottle that hasn't gone sour. The performance is much better than I expected.. you get decent projection the first 2 to 3 hours, but by hour 6 there's still a pleasant scent bubble that I notice off and on.

I'm hopeful, but not optimistic, that the current formulation is at least half as good as the vintage. Because this, for me, is a signature worthy scent.

Found it.
This is exactly what I wanted. I forked out the cash to get Prada L'homme a few years ago but have only recently come to really appreciate it. And man do I love it!! So powdery fresh. Unisex in the best possible way.

I wanted something similar that I could wear on a daily basis without having to worry about the cost to get a new bottle haha.

And this is it.

Now granted, the first 10 to 15 minutes you probably won't be too impressed. During that time it smells decent enough but nowhere near l'homme.
But just let it sit. The longer you wait the better it gets, especially on skin.

Just today I sprayed both fragrances on separate tester strips to compare and contrast. Side by side l'homme is a bit smoother/ softer, but the longer I let them both settle the harder it is to detect a difference.

Evoke's performance might be slightly better as well, both in silage and longevity.

One final note I do have to add is that just today I was wearing evoke gold and got a compliment from a woman who said I smelled like popcorn lol.
I really don't have much commentary on her statement (I don't think it smells anything like popcorn) but at the very least it's proof that you'll get compliments if you wear this fragrance.

Bizarre...
This fragrance confuses me. It reminds me a bit of a lighter, spicier, more synthetic version of Brut.
It has amazing longevity, especially on clothing. Its cheap looking bottle and linear scent makes it easy to forget just how potent it really is.
Just today I (over)applied several sprays to my shirt & am almost annoyed at how pungent it still is hours later lol.

That's the other thing... depending on your mood, this scent is either super addictive or cloying. No in between. Not for me at least.

The scent itself is a bit hard to describe. I wish I had access to its original fragrance pyramid.
My best summation would be synthetic spiciness mixed with a unique type of fougere freshness.

If you're still confused on the whether or not it's worth purchasing I
would recommend it if only for the fact that it gives you an excellent bang for your buck.
It's a great scent to spritz on a clean shirt after a warm shower on an autumn afternoon.

Cleanliness in a bottle.
Yes yes, all the references to Irish spring and pine trees are completely accurate.
And I absolutely love it.
Spray this on and you'll smell clean in the literal sense. Not in the "your cologne smells quite fresh" sense. But in the "just stepped out from the shower" sense. So good.

Not to mention it's probably the best bang for your buck, performance wise, you'll ever get from a fragrance.
If you enjoy soapy fragrances, I highly recommend it.

{For reference I own a bottle of the newer formulation, without the built-in sprayer.}

Classic fougere.
When I think of aromatic fougeres, I think of Bogart signature. So green, spicy. Classy.
And while it does remind me of Paco rabanne pour Home, I would almost say that Paco rabanne is the "sport" version of this fragrance. Both are great but, between the two, Bogart is preferable for the evening.

Can't go wrong if you like classic, masculine men's fragrances.
