There it is, my 2002 bottle in all its glory, which I learned to love back then and which was the second fragrance I ever bought. There are still around 25ml of the liquid summer in the bottle, which I cherish and care for and like to take out when the weather permits to reminisce about the good old days. The great thing is that it's old but not outdated. It's never had to go to the garage and never left me stranded, and despite its age, it still looks modern and shows that it's not rusty.

A lively citrus blend that makes the fragrance bright and invigorating. The bergamot brings a bitterness, while the mandarin contributes a gentle sweetness. Florals bring a floral softness to the citrus-heavy opening, while slightly spicy herbs give the fragrance masculinity and depth, taking the PS to the streets.

The longevity is a good 8 hours, although this could be due to the batch. From what I read from others here, the H/S has diminished.

Conclusion: The father of all citrus fragrances and still a hit.

It seemed like an ordinary day, but I was soon to learn that nothing is as it seems.

I dragged myself out of bed, washed up, made breakfast, fed the cat, changed my clothes and then went to my perfume cupboard as usual. Today I'm wearing my latest acquisition, Overture Man.

I spray it on. A short fizz. Silence. I notice how time seems to stand still and when I looked in the mirror, I saw a Persian prince who looked like me. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into the mirror.

There I was, in ancient Persia, at the deathbed of my father, the Sultan, who smelled strongly of cognac and caraway. Around him were sticks of incense that enveloped the whole room in a light mist. Somehow I was irritated and yet pleasantly enchanted by this astonishing mixture of fragrances, which all blended together, as I stared around me. My father took me by the hand and whispered in my ear: soon you will be my heir, my son!
Now I too would spend the rest of my life smelling of incense, cognac and caraway. I could already see myself bathing in sheep's milk and swimming in gold coins surrounded by 100 beautiful women who would fulfill my every wish.

BANG, BANG something hit me on the head, ouch my cat had knocked over the broom and the broomstick hit me on the head and brought me back into the living room. What a crazy daydream that seemed like hours. A glance at the clock showed me that only a few minutes had passed.

What a fragrance experience.

I have to confess that I've always given Xerjoff a wide berth because it's too mainstream for me - I buy it to be HIP. Nevertheless, as an interested perfumologist, I still smell through their range and what can I say.

I was actually in the store I trust because of a completely different brand and after an unsuccessful hour I saw the Xerjoff shelf just before leaving. Oh come on, let me test one or two more to finish off and there it was. I knew immediately that this was THE ONE that I didn't think I would find in the brand. This unique fragrance composition of clove sprinkled with a good dash of cinnamon and cardamom and floating in honey.

I couldn't get it out of my head when I left the store. I must have smelled it down to the last molecule and after a sleepless night I found myself putting it in my shopping cart and clicking order. I'd like to blame it on sleepwalking, but I think you already know the truth.

Now it's in my collection and I love it and am glad to have found it. Despite the wintery-sounding notes, I think it's suitable all year round. Definitely unisex, but the smokiness might be too much for some ladies.

H|S are very good and lasts me 8 hours with a little over half an arm's length of projection.

Conclusion: Never say never and be open and you will be surprised.

Full drone of slightly soapy fresh laundry. Something about fabric softener. You always smell fresh no matter what. Lasts 2 days on clothes without any problems.

It smells wonderfully floral and like fresh orange peel. Therefore, it is definitely unisex. I think it's very special, almost drizzly, so it absolutely had to be added to my collection. I've never smelled it like this before. The price is reasonable for the power.
