Bacon? Seriously?
When I bought the fragrance Blanche for a great friend, I got into a conversation with the salesperson and mentioned that I was also looking for a new scent. After a quick inventory, he let me sniff a few fragrances and what can I say: he was pretty spot on. One of them was Molecule 01 + Guaiac, which I initially didn’t pay much attention to. After the third day, I thought to myself that it bears a strong resemblance to Gaiac 10, which is also in my collection. For me, it’s a clean scent with a hint of dirt ;) I like Molecule just a tad better; it’s subtler, coming and going in a Molecule-like manner. Even at the office, there were some compliments and confusion about this scent. "I can only smell it when you move. It smells incredibly interesting!" Works for me. It’s woody and smoky, yet very pleasing; it doesn’t overwhelm and is a loooong way from bacon (in my world)!

Forest Fire
I indulge in it in moderation.
Especially during the Corona phase, I noticed how thoughtless some people are out there. These Flowerbomb variations, at 6:44 AM on an empty stomach in the bus... is it due to the lockdown and the many forest walks in clear air, or do we become more sensitive with age?! :)
The olfactory experiences of the past year should serve as a lesson for me.. Aer is very present and intense; on good days, I treat myself to a spritz, generally I wear it more in the evenings, and even half a spray (a lot of finesse is required here) is more than enough. In my opinion, the sillage is 12 out of 10; even after washing, my clothes still smell of it, the same goes for washing my hair.
High-quality substances have been used here; the unisex scent is certainly very present, and my surroundings always greet me as Frau Waldbrand.
At first, I approached Aer with great respect; by now, I know what I can tolerate for myself and others. Something special, it pairs well with wool jackets :)

Ps: It was suggested to describe what the scent smells like. Well.. I perceive galbanum strongly, along with a good portion of vanilla (but the expensive kind, if you know what I mean ;)), which in no way smells sweet or squeaky. The incense is very present, but here too, there's no noticeable headache onset (incense and oud are only tolerable for me in moderation); the ingredients are very well coordinated and excellently balanced. The scent is very present; nevertheless, no component "screams" for attention. A fine thing!

Berry Broadside
I have no idea what this scent does to me.. Actually, I don't like berries, neither in my mouth nor on my skin. Maybe it's the interplay with wood, plus it has quite a synthetic impression.. And yet, I've grown a bit fond of it; I'm happy that it accompanies me through the day from time to time.

It smells so nice like a forest in your office..
For me, by far the most appealing scent of the Monocle series.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of strolling through a forest in Japan will find themselves here. I am not a fan of overly poetic summaries, but I find this scent particularly.. unique, fresh, woody, a breath of fresh air, and very unobtrusive. If anyone has tips for scents that go in this direction: I’m all ears!
