Unknown leather/tobacco
It was January 2021, corona was more or less subsiding, but many countries still had travel restrictions with mandatory testing on return, etc.
So I went to Dubai with my wife. Everything was "safe" there
The vacation passed and of course we had to make a stop at one of the souks there.
We blindly tried out various fragrances, with the odd spice scent flying by in between. Awesome!
In front of a store stood an older man who invited us in. Various bottles were tested - all good, but wow, this was the one. A fragrance DNA that I hadn't smelled before. Nice tobacco, leathery...a little rose...beautiful. That's how I want to smell. Of course, it came with me, for relatively little money in what I think is an insane H/S.
2.5 years later and I can no longer find this bottle... I looked everywhere but couldn't find it anywhere. Registered here at Parfumo at the beginning of the year - yes, I know it's far too late, but hey, better later than never!
And then, thanks to Souk, there they were, a few offers for exactly this "prodigal son".
As the bottle arrived again today, I was delighted. But unfortunately I was disappointed to discover that it was not comparable to what I remembered. Has anyone here filled it with Ombre Leather from TF? But why would you do that? It's much more expensive than this one...
And that's exactly the question I'm asking the community now, because I'm sitting here a little disappointed that I now own an Ombre Leather from Rasasi. Either it's due to a reformulation or I have no idea. Anyway, the Ombre Leather isn't bad, but I really wanted that unique scent DNA from back then! Maybe someone can enlighten me...
Until then, maybe the prodigal son will reappear!

Myrrh without a church
A really great myrrh fragrance from Armani!
We don't go to church with it and there's no altar boy in front of you either.
Good in the office, better on a date or for
Black Tie, in my personal opinion.
Overall, very very pleasing and also potent. Lasts about 7-8 hours on my skin. On the clothes still 2 days later.
Fortunately, I was able to secure another bottle here via the souk, from Slovakia to be precise. Myrrh, er, crazy I meant!
