Sugar Lemonade
Light, clean, Sprite lemonade like scent. Nothing fancy, nothing revolutionary but it just smells great!
I don't feel much mint, but I do get lemon and neroli with a clean musk all throughout the life of the fragrance. I also get some sweetness-sugar cubes like which contributes to the whole lemonade vibe.
A bit expensive at full retail but worth the money if gotten cheaper.

Mint or someone like mint
I just love this fragrance. It's nothing pretentious, it doesn't try to be something that it's not and I feel that by doing so is currently underrated. It's mint with green, rosy freshness and traces of white musk. There's not much development but it doesn't need to have it.
I love it for how it makes me feel: happy, energetic and vibrant.

Out with the old, in with the new(ish?)
Parfums de Nicolai NY Intense is everything that most niche masculine perfumes should be: interesting but familiar, classical but modern, zingy and tart but with added depth. At first smell I am hit by a combination of citruses not unlike Chanel Pour Monsieur or Monsieur de Givenchy. The expectation is that they give way to the heavy base notes but on my skin they remain throughout the life of the fragrance. The other big players are the oakmoss, the lavender and the vanilla with just a dash of spice (a bit of clove and cinnamon). In the drydown there is an oriental feeling without being able to call the fragrance oriental: the base is simply supporting the fragrance, never taking away from top and heart notes, only supporting. Incredible fragrance to be launched in 2014, sits on the same shelf as Habit Rouge, Chanel pour Monsieur and Eau Sauvage.
