Christine and the last Scentdroid
It was the year 2172 - after decades of wars with the Scent Droids, the latter were defeated with great losses, and Earth was once again in human hands. In the midst of this post-futuristic era, there was a scent droid hunter, Christine Nagel, known for her superior sleuthing skills and unwavering determination. Her mission was to find and eliminate the last remaining scent droid named H24.

H24 was reportedly no ordinary scent droid. Rumored to be the first of his kind, he carried the scent of the Zeitgeist, a mysterious energy that linked past, present, and future. This made him a coveted prey for scientists and criminals alike, and the Church of the Disciples of Hermes was also burning for it.

The hunt took Christine deep into a dark forest filled with thick fog and a sweet-gurky scent trail. Every step was accompanied by tension and excitement, as she knew she was getting closer and closer to H24.

Suddenly, she heard a low buzzing sound, followed by a faint greenish glow. She followed the metallic sound and found herself in a hidden camp where H24 had taken refuge. Christine immediately sensed the presence of the zeitgeist in the air.

With calm determination, she stepped forward and confronted the scent droid. A shot from her weapon struck H24 in the abdominal region. Immediately the air was filled with a metallic herbaceous odor, to which was paired a sweet and sour cucumber note of the smoldering wound, from which shone a green light and also dripped some synthetic melon juice. The green glow grew stronger and stronger, and soon the wound was completely healed - most unusual! Christine took cover, ready for the counterattack, but nothing happened. H24 behaved completely peacefully and continued to emit an herbaceous aroma, somewhat weaker than before, but still present.

Christine peered around the corner and paused - she also now realized that H24 was more than a simple scent droid. He was a being who transcended the boundaries of time. Contrary to her beliefs, she began a conversation with H24 to learn more about the zeitgeist and its meaning.

Christine and H24's story did not end in a fight, but in an exchange of ideas and insights. Together they realized that the Zeitgeist was a force that could not be controlled or extinguished, but one that inspired humanity to go beyond its own limitations and shape the future. And so they left the dark forest, not as enemies, but as allies on a shared journey to explore the mysteries of the Zeitgeist and create a new era of herbaceous progress and cucumber-melon harmony.

The aroma of security
The title may sound corny, but ultimately the fragrance embodies exactly that for me. However, let's start at the beginning.

A few years ago I stumbled as an absolute barbarian in matters of perfume on an Australian company that produces wax perfume, which should smell good for a moderate price - it did, at least from my point of view. So the first perfume I ever bought myself (my partner was always at the helm for that before) was a clone of Tobacco Vanilla - I didn't know that and it couldn't have been more indifferent to me. I liked it mainly because it was different from the perfumes I knew - spicy, exotic, peppery, woody, spicy-aromatic. This fragrance characteristic therefore has a place of honor in my sensibilities, simply because it was the first fragrance I bought because I liked it myself.

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition fills this kind of fragrance character completely - the fragrance is a spicy monster. Unbridled act clove and pepper as the main actors in the opening, assisted by woods and resins in the background. A mangy, frivolously inviting tobacco wanders in between. The latter is never smoky, but rather delicious, sweet, cinnamony, vaguely nutty. Fleeting vanilla and an isolated shy cocoa bean round out the aromatic creation and save it from complete exotic-erotic overboard.

Restraint is written here small or completely weggetipp-ext. This massive aura can easily tarnish, the dosage must be tuned with sensitivity depending on the situation. Less is always more here. This fragrance wants to be discovered, sniffed out in small bites, leisurely felt - if it comes in too large waves can lead to cognitive overload in the environment.

Properly dosed, the fragrance carries away into warm spheres, embraces like a cuddly blanket, offers generous security even under the most adverse circumstances. This is far more competence than I can attribute to many other fragrances, and therefore I like him especially.

Impulse buying according to textbook
Summer 2013, Amman, Jordan; in the showroom of Zalatimo Brothers, known for the best cookies in the Middle East. The salesman pushes a thing wrapped in green foil on me. I don't particularly like sweets, and cookies are far too dry anyway. And the whole thing in this sweltering heat. So my expectations were at limbo level. After another request accompanied by a beaming smile from the tireless salesman, I unwrap the thing and take a bite - and boom, oh là là M'sieur! - it's sweet, crunchy, juicy, creamy and nutty all at the same time, with pistachios, honey and at least 10 spoonfuls of powdered sugar. Overwhelmed and slightly unsettled, I give the sales clerk a flash of a crumbly row of teeth, which he promptly takes as an opportunity to talk me into buying an XXL tin full of the powdery pralines. Ma'amoul the name, proud the price. Off with it.

Autumn 2023, Otto's beauty store; I spray a generous amount of Honor & Glory onto the test strip, no shaking and waiting, just grab the tine - and boom, oh là là Madame! - it brings my mood up a notch. Immediately, the back of my hand, arms and whole jacket are filled up. The employee asks if she can help, no she can't, I can't be helped on several levels at this inglorious time - she finally realizes that. I soak up the fragrance again and float - it's enchanting, addictive! Ma'amoul to spray on. I neither looked for it nor wanted it, but now it's here and I don't want to give it up.

Straight sweet wood grating
From the beginning consistently sweet, warm, slightly woody with pleasing juniper. Very faintly something fruity is also perceptible. According to the information, it is apple, but I do not smell that out, it blurs too strongly with the sweetness. The course is quite linear - at the end remains mainly the airy woodiness. The overall balance is right for me, even if the sweetness can seem a bit too exuberant.
Overall, a bright, friendly, unobtrusive fragrance for the transitional periods between spring / summer and summer / autumn. Rather for young and young at heart. A good choice for perfume newcomers who want to explore the world of woody notes for the small thaler. Definitely a bright spot in the low-price segment, as this is mostly dominated by aquatic shower gel-like fresh scents.

A ravishingly wicked grand seigneur
Effect:
From the first moment an absolute feel-good fragrance. He seems at the same time decent, polite, courteous - but then again determined, lustful, and a bit wicked. He has a disarming directness, he creates out of nowhere a small bubble of intimacy whose invitation you can hardly refuse. A quick sniff is enough to lift my spirits and shift my sensory focus completely to my nose. An addictive, almost delirious aroma in elegant elevator. A familiar recurring dream of a possibly bygone world full of honest sovereignty and genuine empathy.

Fragrance:
Is it plum, damson, or cherry? A combination of the three? It reminds me of "Ume Shu", a sweet Japanese plum wine. It is joined by some leather, a hint of tobacco. Later, vanilla and possibly some cinnamon are also perceptible in the farthest corner. However, the dark fruitiness remains in the foreground throughout. A true cosmopolitan, united diplomatically from Far East to West, but still retains character.

Occasion:
I wear it with evening wear. Must not necessarily be jacket or even complete suit, simply tasteful well-fitting clothes, which together with the fragrance creates a neat self-confidence boost.

Flacon:
Masterful proportions, elegant simplicity, heavy, valuable, very masculine. Fits perfectly with the fragrance.

Review:
"Every plum has its stone." said Čelakovský once. With all the praise, I must also address a negative aspect. The scent is very strong, especially at the beginning, and this can also become a stumbling block in a more intimate encounter. Very strong, however, should not be confused with excessive sillage - which is there but not room-filling.

Conclusion:
Plum tastes best fresh from the tree. But this is damn close.
