Impulse buying according to textbook

Summer 2013, Amman, Jordan; in the showroom of Zalatimo Brothers, known for the best cookies in the Middle East. The salesman pushes a thing wrapped in green foil on me. I don't particularly like sweets, and cookies are far too dry anyway. And the whole thing in this sweltering heat. So my expectations were at limbo level. After another request accompanied by a beaming smile from the tireless salesman, I unwrap the thing and take a bite - and boom, oh là là M'sieur! - it's sweet, crunchy, juicy, creamy and nutty all at the same time, with pistachios, honey and at least 10 spoonfuls of powdered sugar. Overwhelmed and slightly unsettled, I give the sales clerk a flash of a crumbly row of teeth, which he promptly takes as an opportunity to talk me into buying an XXL tin full of the powdery pralines. Ma'amoul the name, proud the price. Off with it.

Autumn 2023, Otto's beauty store; I spray a generous amount of Honor & Glory onto the test strip, no shaking and waiting, just grab the tine - and boom, oh là là Madame! - it brings my mood up a notch. Immediately, the back of my hand, arms and whole jacket are filled up. The employee asks if she can help, no she can't, I can't be helped on several levels at this inglorious time - she finally realizes that. I soak up the fragrance again and float - it's enchanting, addictive! Ma'amoul to spray on. I neither looked for it nor wanted it, but now it's here and I don't want to give it up.

Price performance = top?

Have long been looking for a nice winter scent, which manages to assert itself in colder temperatures. So I came across this Lattafa, although I am eig. a biased advocate of expensive = good, I gave the Honor & Glory times a chance.

Here I realized what a beast this fragrance is. He keeps 2 days on my skin, has a nice warm and spicy vanilla, fresh pineapple ( which unfortunately quickly lays with me) and a perhaps already too strong sillage for the university. The creme brulee I take but not really perceived.

In my opinion, for the price a must-have, with unique selling proposition, if you compare what you get with other brands for 5 x the price.

Yes, this is a first class gourmet perfume opener.

After a few minutes, the pudding smell disappears and a creamy smell emerges, like the creamy Chantilly used in cake molds with a sour note, it becomes warm with the smell of turmeric used for cooking, with pineapple and coconut, the smell takes us through time, as if we had finished the pudding dessert dish to a cocktail of pineapple syrup with coconut mixed with cinnamon on the beach of Hawaii or the Maldives,

And the sun is very hot overhead and there is a dewy smell coming from the ocean waves across the street.

The fragrance then dries down to a warm sweet scent with a hint of woody musky sugary floral aroma, as if we are in the markets called Halkum sweets with roses and sugar.
The fragrance is definitely unisex and I blindly recommend buying it, it is a safe perfume, quality and beauty for the price of the perfume is very good.

Not exactly crème brûlée, but nice and creamy-sweetish

The Honor & Glory was one of the fragrances that have interested me since release very much.
I found the notes as mega exciting, especially the listed Crème Brûlée Akkord.
In short, I can say that it is quite nice, but the Crème Brûlée expectation was unfortunately not met. Nevertheless, this fragrance is quite beautiful.

The fragrance starts for my sensation in any case with a fruity pineapple note. The pineapple also gets a direct visit from a peppery veil. I even have the feeling to actually perceive some turmeric.

With time, the fragrance definitely becomes creamier and you get a gourmand impression.
I must note, however, that it does not become extremely sweet and pastry-like. Vanilla and some subtle cinnamon join in.

Towards the end, I unfortunately liked the scent less. But can not explain exactly why.
He lands like on a kind of "musk" cloud. But it will probably be the listed Cashmeran.
For me, it became a bit unround and it all has not really harmonized.
But that is my personal impression.

Pineapple crème brûlée

I dedicate my 2nd review to "Honor and Glory". In my opinion, the name is a bit misleading. I, for my part, would not have expected a pineapple crème brûlée when reading, but rather something more masculine. Especially since this is under the hood of "Bade al Oud".
Oud is not included according to the fragrance pyramid.
Nevertheless, this fragrance is simply to bite! I could even nibble on with when I wear the fragrance. He smells first like when you surf on a cream wave while slurping a pina colada. If the fragrance is longer on the skin, comes after some time then also the sandalwood and he cinnamon through. The vanilla I smell but also already at the beginning.
To the durability: I smell him (if I actively sniff me) still until late in the evening. The sillage is now also no breaker. Addressed me so far but also still no one on this fragrance.

In summary: I find "Honor and Glory" is a beautiful and round gourmand at a great price. I can really recommend him :)
