A Pleasing New Interpretation of the Invictus DNA
Hawas Ice comes with a sweet & synthetic scent trail, but is refreshingly nice, especially in the opening.

Just yesterday, I held the original Invictus in a drugstore, and yes, the similarity cannot be denied. However, since I am not familiar with the original Hawas, I cannot comment on that. The gum-like sweetness is accompanied by some fruity notes here, but in the drydown, the perfume becomes a bit heavier. Unlike the ICE on track, this scent does not disappear so quickly - the longevity is impressive - 6 to 7 hours and on fabric even quite a bit longer.

For me personally, as someone with a fast metabolism who tends to sweat and run a bit "hot," this perfume unfortunately sometimes projects a bit too strongly, occasionally even developing a slightly unpleasant undertone. What is a dealbreaker for me in the hot summer months may not hold true for others, of course.

In my opinion, the scent is an evolution of the Invictus DNA. Hawas Ice is aimed at a young and young-at-heart audience, is relatively mass-appealing, and at the same time a bit loud. Striking, but not intrusive is the motto.

Different from the others
If you are looking for a versatile freshie that offers a slightly unusual note with its rhubarb, then you are in the right place.

L'Homme Lacoste Intense is refreshingly different, combining in the opening the zesty, almost tart rhubarb with a sweet mandarin, and gaining a hint of spiciness in its fairly even progression. The fragrance is never overpowering, but you shouldn't expect monster sillage from it. The longevity is, as some have already mentioned here, not the fragrance's strong suit, although the Intense version is indeed superior to the original. After 4-5 hours, the perfume is only perceptible to me in close proximity, while it lasts a bit longer on clothing. Afterwards, the scent remains present as a skin scent for several hours.

The fragrance clearly shines in the warmer seasons, although it can be worn just as well indoors in winter. In autumnal weather, I believe it is still strong enough, but it really can't cut through winter's cold.

For me, L'Homme Lacoste Intense has become my absolute go-to with its mass-appealing yet unique freshness. A truly beautiful scent that captures me anew every time and has never become boring over several years!
