Atomic rose goes bang!
Let me first start by saying, I did not take the name seriously at all. It made me laugh, reminded me of atomic kittens (a British girl band with bad hair) and most of triggered the chemist in me. Of course they are atomic, roses and leaves and horses all composed of atoms, duh!! So for a while, I steered clear of « atomic rose » until last September. I blind bought it from a Niche shop for which I had a voucher., sorry I digress

Anyway, it arrived I tore into the package and I wanted to smell why it was hyped. At first sniff, I felt this is gorgeous. At second sniff, I thought it’s somehow familiar but I couldn’t recall which perfume it reminded me off. At that point, my better half chimed in, this is lovely but you have something like it. However, his enthusiasm for atomic rose was way louder than anything else I tried on. It’s syrupy rose, with a hint of vanilla. I can detect a hint of similarity with BR540, patiala and Bromptons immortals! It was similar but in no way redundant. I read some reviews describing it as green rose, I don’t detect any green elements but syrupy sweet rose on a bed of creamy vanilla and I presume ambrofix is the synthetic form of ambergris. This perfume is compliment magnet, it turns heads!

Despite the name, I fell in love!

Pink sparkling and totally addictive
I always try to avoid hyped fragrances, I like to discover and fall in love with fragrances by chance! So for a long time I avoided Delina exclusif until I started to love compositions of perfumer Quentin Bisch ( cuir céleste, tapis volant and fleur narcotique). I then went on to try Delina exclusif, it has the signature opening we find in fleur narcotique, a juicy fruity opening followed by a fresh floral bouquet. The dry down is creamy and reminds me of few body lotions.
Delina is an ode to feminine beauty, delicate yet commands attention. Full bottle worthy and maybe backup bottle too.

No Aladdin, flying solo on the tapis volant ...
If you bought this expecting an oriental perfume right out of Arabian nights you’d be disappointed. This is a flying carpet without Aladdin or his Genie! The perfume is airy, light and sublime! I am glad I received this as a freebie with a purchase, I’ve been obsessed with the scent since October 2019. I cannot distinguish the individual notes, all I smell is this beautiful creamy floral soapy iris mingling with Jasmin which wraps me like a scent scarf. It’s different from anything I smelled before and if I believed in signature scents then this is totally signature scent worthy.

Too much of a good thing ?
I have to be honest, I did not like this perfume the first time I tried it. I was not used to oriental perfumes and I thought they were loud and I preferred more subtle scents. After smelling it several times on a friend, I liked it enough to get myself a bottle. With this kind of perfume, patience is required to fully appreciate it. I spritzed it and waited. It was creamy, the sandalwood was sweet almost vanilla to my nose. The rose is barely there and I don’t really pick up jasmine or neroli very much. It’s centred around sandalwood and come across as monotonous after sometimes. For example, I was stuck on a plane with a passenger who wore too much santal royal and I couldn’t smell anything else for 5 hours and half. So the sillage is good, and so is the projection and it completely drowned my own fragrance. I had to sniff my wrists periodically to remember what I was wearing.

I was not ready for you years ago but now I love you
Fève délicieuse, thé delicious bean! It was one of the hyped fragrances at the start of my scent journey,I quickly jumped on the bandwagon and as soon as a 10 ml decant became available I bought it. I remember waiting at Stuttgart airport in November 2017, it was so cold and my fingers froze as I was frantically messaging and paying for 10 ml. It was not what I expected my nose couldn’t detect the deliciousness, it was an oily mess that I quickly got rid of never to revisit again. I was a gourmand coquin kind of gal and that’s that. Few months ago, in the Dior boutique I revisited it and oh my goodness. It’s so smooth and delicious with a slightly herbal note maybe the lavender. I can finally detect the Tonka bean, it’s cosy without being cloying and works well on a sunny day too. I wouldn’t classify this somehow as gourmand, it’s not overly sweet. It’s just perfect!!!
