Very Good Copy
Reflection Man is one of my absolute favorite scents. It was with this fragrance that my journey into perfumes began. I first smelled it as a young teenager while strolling in the city center and fell in love immediately.
Back then, I unfortunately didn't remember the name of this scent. Sad but true.
And so I spent several years searching.
Five years and about 80 bottles later, I rediscovered it. The price of €230 was quite a bit for me as an apprentice living away from home, but my passion ultimately convinced me.
In the meantime, I also own a vintage version of Reflection Man, so it’s easy for me to compare The Run Way with both versions.
The top note is amazing. Personally, I can’t detect any difference at all. 10/10 points
The drydown does deviate slightly from the original. Reflection Man has more of a woody/metallic undertone to the floral-sweet main accord, while The Run Way has more of a green/woody background. However, without a direct comparison, one would hardly notice any differences. 9/10
In the base, Reflection Man becomes more and more woody and loses its sweetness. The Run Way, on the other hand, remains floral-sweet until the end and thus differs much less in the base compared to the heart note than is the case with Reflection Man.
Longevity is slightly better than the current version but about 1-1.5 hours weaker than the vintage Reflection Man.
Sillage is quite decent and on par with the vintage version. The current one cannot keep up in this regard.

What actually makes a good "clone"?
1. As strong a similarity to the original as possible...check!
2. Equal or better performance...check!
3. Cheaper...check! (55€/60ml)
4. For me the most important: Evoke the same emotions...and damn yes, it can do that!

Great Scent
First of all, I don't know Herod and therefore can't make a comparison regarding how good of a copy this is. I'm not really a big fan of vanilla in men's perfumes, but here I was (once again) pleasantly surprised. Absolute masculinity hits me right after application.
It must be due to the strong cinnamon note mixed with tobacco and apple; even though the latter note isn't listed here, I could bet that at least a little apple is present in the top notes ;)

Longevity is very good, although I only apply the scent on clothes; on the skin, there is strangely a strong discrepancy in comparison to clothing regarding longevity. The sillage is quite enormous for the first 3 hours, then it becomes a bit closer to the skin, but even after 8 hours, a little scent cloud occasionally comes your way, very pleasant!
Reactions have been exclusively (!) positive to very positive; my better half rightly refers to this one as a cuddle scent ;)
Of the 7 samples I have tried from Alexandria Fragrances, this one is my favorite in terms of scent, just ahead of Royal Equestrian and The Run Way.
A 60ml bottle has already been ordered, and I think it won't be the last one; I admit I have fallen a bit in love :)

Incredible Piece
Very good copy of PdM Layton. The top note deviates slightly, but in a good way; I personally find the top note of Layton somewhat of an acquired taste ;) The longevity is enormous, still perceptible on clothes after 3! days at about a 15 cm distance, similarly strong as Dior Homme Parfum, points for Royal Equestrian. Sillage is also above average, absolutely on par with Layton, point distribution.
Lastly, the price. I think I don't need to make a big comparison; everyone will know who has the upper hand here ;)
All in all, a top clone with stronger performance and a lower price... what more could you want?
Regarding compliments: I ordered a 7-sample pack Royal Equestrian (Layton), A Private Man (CH Men Prive), Arabian Horse (Herod), Apple Crumb (Oajan), The Irish Gentlemen (GIT, Cool Water), The Run Way (Reflection Men), and Hawaii Volcano (Creed VIW).
I asked several friends and relatives which one their favorite is, here in order of preference:
1. Royal Equestrian
2. Arabian Horse/The Run Way
3. Hawaii Volcano/The Irish Gentlemen
4. Apple Crumb/A Private Man
From my side, an absolute recommendation to buy, although I would suggest ordering a sample pack first ;) I ordered the 60ml version of Royal Equestrian and Arabian Horse right after testing; The Run Way and Hawaii Volcano will follow soon ;)

Finally, I have found it!
First of all, I want to say a few words about Parfumo. Without this site, I probably would never have discovered the passion for perfume that I have now. We have a great community, which unfortunately is becoming more and more of an exception in the age of anonymity on the internet, and no matter who has what taste or what opinion they express about a fragrance, everyone treats each other with absolute respect. Great!

Whenever I browse around here, I find a new interesting scent that I probably would never have heard of otherwise, just like this one.
Ordered online for a bargain of 23€, I didn’t know yet that I had finally found it... My fragrance!
Right after the first sniff, I had an association with the scent... the Palmolive shaving cream that my father has used for as long as I can remember, and I totally associate that smell with him.
Admittedly, when you make a direct comparison, you can definitely notice differences, but the overall tone is the same: Fresh-Green, very masculine, with a typical barbershop note.
For me, it is simply perfect! What might be interesting is that I am 22, and this fragrance is often said to be more suited for 40+. So far, I have only received positive feedback. However, one should have a certain maturity or appearance, as this fragrance radiates a lot of masculinity.
Wearable both casually with blue jeans and a flannel shirt, as well as formally with a suit, it is absolutely fitting.

In terms of longevity, it is very decent for a fresh scent, comparable to Acqua di Gio Profumo.
Sillage is also in the upper range. For example, last week my girlfriend told me that even though she left the house 45 minutes after I did, the entire stairwell still smelled wonderful of me and my perfume. Mind you, I had already applied about 5 sprays roughly three-quarters of an hour before I left the house, so hats off!
I can recommend "Bogart" to anyone who enjoys masculine fougère-like scents such as "Fougere Royal" or "Rive Gauche," or someone who has a penchant for fresh, slightly green or citrusy fragrances with a woody/mossy base like "Eau Sauvage" or "Polo."

I have now found the right one for me. My signature scent!
Maybe the memory of my father drove me to this, I don’t know.
I hope that one day when I have children, they will associate me with this scent and have the same associations when they smell it about their father as I do, a rock in the surf, always by my side, supporting me through all the ups and downs in my life.
Because that is what fragrances are all about...
evoking memories and emotions from a past time that accompany you throughout your life.
I love you, Dad.

Somehow Awesome!
"Jacques Bogart" is probably one of the most common
names you hear when
looking for a fragrance with extraordinary performance.
For a long time, I had one or another scent from this house on my radar, so it was about time for me to get my first "Bogarts".
Silver Scent immediately reminds me of a fusion of Original Santal and Nikos Sculpture.
Fruity-floral sweetness hits you in the face from the very first moment, making you almost glad that Douglas and Co. don’t have this in their assortment... for the sake of the employees, of course,
because as much as I like this scent, having a customer every 10 minutes spraying this fragrance on the test strip is really too much of a good thing. And that is also the actual problem with this fragrance. I receive consistently positive feedback from people around me when I wear Silver Scent, but after a certain time, the intense sillage becomes so annoying that a certain nausea sets in. This is less about the scent itself, even though it admittedly becomes very synthetic after a while, but more about the ongoing and persistent intensity over hours.
Longevity on clothing easily 4 days
on the skin 16 hours plus.

Silver Scent is a great addition to the collection for any lover of floral or fruity-sweet men’s perfumes.
Perfect for outdoor events or clubbing!
About 25€/100ml, top!
A little tip: don’t spray on the neck or head area, but rather apply to the pants, etc. This way, you avoid the penetrating self-perception of the scent :)
