Morning coffee with bouquet
I just got up and am still slightly dazed from sleep. The first thing I do is brew myself a coffee. A very strong one. It smells intense, almost a little bitter. There's a tin of vanilla biscuits in the cupboard. I take the cup and the biscuit tin and sit down with them in the conservatory. On the small side table is a large, colorful bouquet of flowers. The roses in it smell wonderful. Their scent mingles with the one rising from my cup. I take a first big sip. After a while - my cup is almost empty by now and the coffee scent has become a little quieter and softer - I can smell other flowers as well. I open the tin of vanilla doughnuts. Sweet, warm vanilla scent rises to my nose. I enjoy a piece of the pastry with the last of my coffee. Then I sit for a while and let myself be enchanted by this potpourri of scents. Sometimes rose and blossoms predominate next to the coffee notes, sometimes vanilla sweetness. Musk and amber provide depth and hold everything together. I close my eyes and dream myself for a moment into the timelessness of a holiday morning in a summerhouse. Invigorated and unhurried, I soon start my day. For hours, the scent of Intense Café accompanies me and lets the relaxed silence of the morning into the bustle of the following hours
I can imagine this Montale more on women than on men. I think it goes on all the time, except maybe on hot summer days. It fits during the day and for casual wear. Only to the evening dress I would rather choose another fragrance.

Vanilla Rose
Mon Parfum Cristal is my first fragrance from M. Micaleff. Just last night he arrived with me. I ordered it blind based on the scents listed. I wouldn't have known where to sniff it either. He has never met me on my fragrance exploration tours so far.
I must confess that the perfume disappointed me a bit when I first sprayed it. Cinnamon I can hardly smell, but the red berries all the stronger. And these seem quite artificial at first. But they only last a short time in this intensity and are soon almost lost in the rose scent. While I usually don't particularly like overly dominant rose, this one is so nicely wrapped in vanilla that I like it. Quite subtly, I can still detect the berries as a pleasant balance to the sweetness of the vanilla and toffee. Amber and musk in the base make sure that nothing overboard and hold the whole thing together.
Over hours, a fragrance cloud rises again and again in my nose, which I perceive once rather a little berry and another time more rosy-vanilla. The sillage is pleasant and not overwhelming
All in all, a nice companion for everyday life. Perhaps less for the next meeting, but rather for leisure and output, for time at home, for cozy sitting together and whenever a little soul warmth would do well.

Tangerine on petals in a bed of vanilla
I just wanted to write a response to the previous review, but soon realized that I was instead describing my own experience with this fragrance. So it became just but rather its own review.
It always fascinates me how differently a fragrance can be experienced. I smell here nothing bitter at the beginning, but mainly tangerine, which becomes quite soft after a short time by almond. It recedes somewhat into the background over time, but still accompanies me there for a long time and provides a quiet freshness, like a gentle counterpoint to the now emerging sweetness and the first hint of vanilla. At the same time, more floral scents rise to my nose, especially the scent of jasmine. The whole is carried by the warmth of musk and amber. At the end remains a warm, powdery vanilla, which lasts on my somewhat difficult skin for hours, albeit very close to the body.
For me, Cinéma is a subtle, flattering fragrance that more or less always goes. He does not overwhelm and fits especially well for spring and summer and is probably less suitable for the very big appearance. For sure this Cinéma will be a permanent part of my collection for a long time.

Short fright and long joy
I must confess, I don't particularly like the opening shortly after spraying it on. Whether it is because of the green notes? It smells a little artificial and, how should I put it, a little too dull-oriental for me. The somewhat dusty bergamot doesn't make this impression any better. After a short while, however, a potpouri of floral scents rises, with lemon and a bit of peach mingling in ever so softly. The whole thing is beautifully supported by a warm base consisting of a wonderful vanilla and tonka bean cream that is never oversweet thanks to ambergris, musk and sandalwood. This vanilla and tonka bean cream determines the fragrance impression more and more over time, even if it is accompanied for a long time by the scent of the flowers and, somewhat less clearly, by that of the fruit. What I appreciate about this perfume is that it caresses me for hours and I can perceive it on myself. It is certainly less suitable for hot summer days (then rather for the evening). Otherwise, I wear it at will and whim

You have to give Philtre de Parfum some time
I have owned a bottle of Shalimar Philtre de Parfum for two days now. I bought it blind because I found the fragrance pyramid interesting. The first time I sprayed it on, I was a little startled. I smell a very strong and somewhat sharp lemon and some bergamot in the background. Nothing else. I love lemon, but there's almost a bit too much of it here for my taste. Fortunately, it is tempered after a short while by subtle lavender, though it remains discreetly in the background. A little later, a hint of vanilla and a faint floral scent brings a subtle sweetness into play. Patchouli is (thankfully) not dominant and seems to gently support the other scents. For a short time, tolu balsam pushes its way to the fore. It fades again, while vanilla becomes stronger, gently enveloping all the other nuances and combining them into a harmonious accord that stays with me for a few hours. The fragrance relaxes and leads me pleasantly into the distance.
Since it is rather close to the body and not intrusive, it is best suited for all days
