Poker Night
The room around you is dark. The only light source is the old lamp with the rusty lampshade above the table you are sitting at.
The two men at the table glance at each other furtively, slowly you fan out the cards in your hand. The hand looks good.
You glance around again, sweat trickles from the forehead of the guy to your left. The one on the right takes a puff from his cigar, he too looks tense at you.
A slight smile flickers across your lips, then you slam the hand down on the old solid wood table!
Royal Flush!

In shock, the guy to your left knocks over his Ardbeg whisky glass.
The one on the right drops his cigar from his mouth, and it lands with a dull thud first on the table, then on the floor.
The whisky seeps into the old wooden table, the wood emits a warm scent, the alcohol of the whisky dissipates quickly.

The Gambling has a nice whisky note that quickly fades, then warm wood and peat remain.
The scent lasts a long time and develops, except for the first 10 minutes when the whisky smell fades, not at all.

Not for everyone, but super beautiful.

Ralph's Oud Dream
The first love, it smelled of forest, reading room, and old money. It was Polo Eau de Toilette. Polo Green made me a fragrance fan. Polo Green showed me how beautiful the world of scents can be and Polo Green made me a collector.
For me, it’s a solid 10/10.

Now the Oud has come around the corner, the bottle pleasantly familiar, the scent a wonderful addition to the Polo line.

Where Polo Cologne Intense was more of a disappointment for me, as it had nothing in common with the original Polo Green, the Oud, despite its differences, is a revelation.
Although it resembles the original Polo Green only slightly, I was immediately captivated from the first spray.

It starts off oud-y, not super strong in a barn-like way, but clear and distinctly perceivable. Cinnamon joins in, which is always present.
I also have an association with cranberries or some other red berries, I have no idea where that comes from but it is wonderfully sweet.

The scent lasts extremely long. 12 to 14 hours are within my experience.

It’s like the second love at first sight.

Citrusy and...olive-like?
Well, this will be difficult...
The reviews for this fragrance are not that great.
Admittedly, the longevity is not really impressive, but the scent....
I was on a "fragrance safari" in Würzburg with a buddy, and we went into a store that had every Memo Paris fragrance, incredible, I could finally smell my way through everything.
I picked this one up, and here's where it gets weird, I initially mistook the lemon leaves on the plaque for olive leaves, and I completely overlooked the white lemons...
I love olives, olive trees, and olive branches; I even have several tattoos of them.
And when I tested the fragrance, it smelled like olive.
Citrusy and olive.

There are no olives in it, nor anything that could smell similar. But I am convinced it smells like olive. I showed it to my wife afterward, and she had the same impression.

So much for that.
For me, it's a citrusy-olive summer fragrance.

Bottle, as always from Memo, magnificent.

Indian Leather - An Olfactory Journey to India
There are fragrances that not only appeal to the sense of smell but also evoke entire images and emotions. Indian Leather is just such a fragrance - a tribute to the colorful soul of India, captured in a sensual composition of leather, spices, and mysterious warmth.

From the very first spray, I feel transported to the bustling streets of Rajasthan: the scent of freshly ground cardamom fills the air, mingling with the dry heat of the desert and the hint of fine leather saddles resting on magnificently adorned elephants. It is as if this fragrance captures the deep spirituality of India - the balance between strength and gentleness, between tradition and wild freedom.

Indian Leather not only tells a story - it invites you to experience it yourself.

The fragrance has an exceptionally long-lasting presence. It lasts more than 12 hours on me and is still faintly perceptible the next morning.

A disclaimer: This is a strong Oriental fragrance that predominantly smells of incense and, right after spraying and for about 5-10 minutes afterward, has an extremely animalistic scent, so it’s not for everyone.

I find it extremely good; I had the chance to test it a few weeks ago and now received it from my wife for my birthday.
I would say this fragrance has slipped into my top 3 Memo Paris scents (African, Iberian, Indian).

I don't know...
...I was really excited about this scent at Müller after having tried only (for me) disappointments, those typical Müller designer "aftershave" fragrances, as I always call them, which I personally don't like at all.

Then the Shaghaf Oud Abyad really stood out.
In-store, it was truly a revelation.
Spicy, peppery, and citrusy were right there from the start.
So I bought it!

At home (it sat there for three days before I unpacked it), it somehow wasn't as great anymore.
I do like heavy leather scents and also green ones like Italian Leather Eau de Parfum or "Moroccan Leather | Memo Paris," which have really nice green spice and pepper, and you immediately envision sun-drenched hills in Tuscany.

But the Shaghaf Oud... that's more like the spice cabinet at Mom's and super overpowering.

Disappointed, I set it aside and forgot about it.
Until the beginning of this week when I was looking for a scent in my closet that I hadn't yet worn on my skin.
So I sprayed it on and... fresh, spicy, you can really smell the three top notes distinctly, with oregano the strongest, pepper is there too, and lime or bergamot is also mingling around.
It is really green, super fresh, and doesn't feel so overpowering on the skin.

Now I like to wear it occasionally, but it has to be the right day.
If I grab this bottle on the wrong day, it unfortunately isn't quite right, but the days when it becomes the right one are increasing.
