Riggs for Glory
The Lord is 95% similar to Oud for Glory.

This could actually end my review, were it not for a tiny little detail.

As I have mentioned in my other Riggs reviews, I can't quite categorize Riggs; on one hand, every fragrance in this line is probably a clone of another house, and the bottles are very similar to the PdM bottles.
On the other hand, they have a certain twist that sets them apart.
And; they are unbeatable for the price!

The Lord is indeed 95% similar to Oud for Glory, but the twist in this one is: the saffron.
The Glory is, for me, harshly dry and almost dusty.
However, the Lord is fresher due to the saffron.

I don't really notice the saffron on the scent strip; there it is 100% the same as Oud for Glory. But on the skin, the saffron comes through sharp and clear.
Simply great!

I would definitely prefer the Lord over the Glory.

Floral Ombré Leather
The king's scepter, gold and noble, the symbol of power, the royal staff.
The inclination of the scepter was a sign of royal grace.
And so majestic smells the Sceptre, in its white and golden bottle.

Noble leather like the leather grip of the scepter and the Fleur de Lis, the lily that crowns the top of the scepter, these are the predominant scents of this fragrance.

Overall, a floral variation of Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum.
Nothing really new in itself, but it gets everything right, and that is the crucial point.

A beautiful Ombré Leather alternative, only the longevity is not that great for me, with a lot of luck I get about 4-5 hours.

Riggs London....Yes, where do I even place you?
The fragrances?...Almost clones of well-known houses with a slight variation or twist.
The bottles?...Strongly reminiscent of PdM, or are they just typically English crest bottles?

Nevertheless, Riggs London does something that dupe houses, to my knowledge, do not do, and that is the quality of the presentation, and they can definitely score points with that!
The bottles are heavy and of extremely high quality, featuring a metal cap.
The packaging is an elegant foldable box.

For €49, the Riggs London perfumes are an absolute no-brainer.

Here are my comparisons of the other Riggs perfumes I own:

Valor = By the Fireplace

Lord = Oud for Greatness Eau de Parfum

Novus = Tuxedo

Sceptre = Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum

Fireplace in London's West End
Riggs London.....Ah yes, where should I categorize you?
The scents?...almost clones of popular perfumes from other brands, just slightly altered or with a kind of twist.
The bottles?...Deliberately reminiscent of PdM or rather a typical English bottle crest style?!

Riggs London somehow manages to excite me, both through the presentation and the scents, and especially through the price.

The Valor is undoubtedly almost a 1:1 copy of By the Fireplace, or Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud just not as sweet.

The longevity is good, the scent is also no surprise for those who know the aforementioned, it is smoky, sweetish, and somewhat sulfurous like a matchstick.

So why is this so great?!
Well, because for the price of €49 you get a fantastic scent in the direction of By The Fireplace, in a bottle that is extremely high quality, beautiful heavy glass, a metal cap, and it all comes in a packaging that you search in vain for at more expensive houses; a foldable box with a card listing the fragrance notes.

Yes, the scents have been smelled before, yes, the bottle looks strikingly similar to the PdM bottles; but it is all done so well! You don’t feel like you’re holding a cheap dupe product.

Here are my other comparisons of the Riggs London scents.

Sceptre = Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum

Valor = By the Fireplace

Novus = Tuxedo

Lord = Oud for Greatness Eau de Parfum

Scent yay / Bottle nay...
I love Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum and collect all the dupes and brands that are very similar.
Tuscan Leather was, along with "Polo (Eau de Toilette) | Ralph Lauren," my first fragrance love.
The only thing that bothers me about the OG TL is the miserable longevity...and the price.
Therefore, every dupe is very welcome to me.

I own "Godolphin | Parfums de Marly," which is similar but still different.
Then there's the Maison Alhambra Toscano Leather, which is great but lacks in longevity.
The significantly worse and super disappointing "Smoky Touch / Toscano Leather | Maison Alhambra," which completely fails in both scent and longevity compared to its predecessor and is also not worth anything as a TL clone.
Then there's "La Yuqawam pour Homme | Rasasi," which has a great scent, beautifully raspberry-like, but also doesn't last too long.
And now also "Italian Leather | Just Jack," whose bottle is incredibly ugly.
The older bottle, which was more similar to "Black Orchid (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford," looked much better and was fitting for the name Italian Leather, but this blue one is just a complete misstep by the designer...

Well, now to the scent:
In short - the scent is great.
It definitely has the Tuscan Leather DNA, but at first, it is a bit strongly synthetic; however, that fades after about 2 minutes on the skin, and then it projects the typical raspberry of Tuscan Leather extremely well.

The longevity of the Italian Leather is extraordinarily good compared to the other TL clones!
That shocked me right away; I did not expect that at all.

The leather is nice, smooth, and supple, with almost no difference from the original.

I am really completely satisfied with this scent.

Anyone who can overlook the ugly bottle gets a slightly synthetic Tuscan Leather clone here that smells great, performs well, and is a really good option.

Toscano Leather extremely weak
Actually, the Maison Alhambra Toscano Leather was my first love in the direction of leather scents. The Toscano Leather in the old bottle was very close to "Tuscan Leather (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford." I really loved it and subsequently bought the original.

The Smoky Touch has likely undergone a reformulation with the current bottle.
I had it sitting here for about 2 years because I was really, really disappointed when I first applied it back then, thinking it was a completely different scent than the Toscano Leather.

The raspberry has been extremely toned down, and instead, it has become smokier. The leather is still recognizable, but everything is overall rather unbalanced and diluted.

Unfortunately, it doesn't last on my skin at all; with great effort, it maybe lasts an hour.

I have no idea what happened here....
If it had been the same scent in a new guise, it wouldn't have made any difference, but this is not the same as what was in the Toscano Leather in the OG bottle.

I pulled it out of the shelf after almost 2 years and tested it again against the Toscano Leather, letting my wife compare them blindly. She also believes that it is not the same scent.
So yes, from the base, it is in the same ballpark, but one is more fruity sweet with leather, while this one is just smoky and weak on the chest.

Unfortunately, a disappointment.
Fortunately, I was able to find another Toscano Leather on eBay. And I'm also testing the "La Yuqawam pour Homme | Rasasi," which is said to be very similar, and the Italian Leather to see how they are when they arrive.

The Smoky Touch is unfortunately being discarded.
