It is difficult to understand this gem, here the leather is the real protagonist, it is rough, raw, not animalic, intrepid, industrial, flat and robust, there are no notes that truly highlight its composition to make it shine and take it to a splendor of mystery, of seduction. This fragrance resembles the solvents used in saddlery for the treatment of leather, if it remains on the clothes gives the feeling of having passed a cloth with liquid varsol giving that feeling of petroleum hydrocarbons, is completely linear and does not present any evolution, I would have liked more prominence of cypress, also vetiver to push towards the herbal or perhaps a citrus note in its top or in its base.

Incredibly, when this fragrance dries on the skin it looks quite similar to Noble Wood by S.T. Dupont which I also had the opportunity to try it for several days along with its sister Royal Amber and they have almost the same chords, although I like the latter more. Now, it is true that the top notes evoke woods in a bonfire with burnt cotton candy or melted marshmallows on the campfire, the incense base (it is more frankincense of frankincense of olibanum that is not declared on the page, softer), vanilla, balsamic amber, are maintained during the life cycle, the oud here is somewhat shy with medicinal tinge but is friendly and non-intrusive-aggressive (kills resin fungus), so this is ideal personal enjoyment for a winter season, rainy season in which it is doing quite cold to warm up with its aroma with a wool bag, a good black coffee and a good book, or simply in this pandemic enjoy it with work at home in front of the laptop. I would have loved not to have so marked the herbal chord that predominates in the output, I think all natura fragrances of the homem line have DNA with a character of freshly cut grass, a chlorophyll smell that damages the harmony making it something strange I do not know if they wanted to highlight the natural touches of its exotic ingredients from the Amazon, but the truth is that it does not fit and makes you lose those glorious minutes of personal enjoyment when you click on the spray to capture its essence.

After half an hour of application is when the magic begins, the sweet notes of black vanilla pod and tonka come to the fore, ending wrapped in something balsamic, with spicy, vibrant and spicy touches, in addition to this the woods come to strengthen the base to evolve in the ambered and warm aura, enveloping us with a seductive, dark and chocolaty charm.

What can I say, surprised! I did not expect anything from this brand, but when using it you will not be disappointed by its good performance and versatility. It is true that the start is a little synthetic but after a few seconds you feel that pear with a medium base of cedar, moss in the background and immediately brings the olfactory memory to the known Legend MontBlanc but less intrusive, less sweet and more pleasant fruity, in the drydown out of curiosity becomes that memory of Fierce A&C, I can say that it is the fusion of the two. Suitable for relaxed atmosphere with friends, office, social type barbecue, an ice cream outing. Later I will try others from Mercedes that I have on the list because of the good reviews and recommendations.

During the life of the fragrance is always present tobacco, jasmine and lavender are notorious and remain there for a long time accentuated along with cinnamon (not so prominent) giving way to vanilla and Tonka bean to round out the composition, honestly the honey I do not feel it so much; the citrus output disappears soon as 5 minutes.
The duration is average 6 to 7 hours on the skin; 1861 Naxos doesn't give more than that on my skin either.
I think it goes for a nighttime environment; that's why it doesn't give much beyond performance.
