Kobraa
My first comment in this community will directly be the first comment for Kobraa. So far, I have never felt such an immediate urge to put my feelings into words and share them with you regarding any fragrance. I enjoy associating scents with character traits, mentally connecting images, memories, places, and situations with a perfume.
Kobraa fascinates me immensely; it comes across as elevated and quite arrogant in a certain way. Less cuddly, but still trustworthy. Not someone to snuggle with, rather a heroic protector. Not a crowd-pleaser in that sense, but it will attract many glances.
It starts off very fresh, cool, crisp, and spicy for me. In English, I would say "crisp." Then the rose geranium leaf comes in, slowly laying itself like a veil and skillfully and confidently capturing the first wild impressions in a balanced manner. As it develops, the scent relaxes increasingly and gains a certain calmness. This is probably also because my nose relaxes and gets used to the fragrance. The incense is consistently present. The oud now starts to push through, but not in a negative way. It gives this fragrance the perfect depth for me; it feels neither too heavy nor too animalistic. It supports the rose geranium leaf, complementing it in a subtle way. It's fascinating how Cavallier-Belletrud has created such a masterpiece with just a few, but high-quality ingredients.
Many criticize the Le Gemme line from Bvlgari as overpriced and not worth the price. It's up to each individual to judge this. For me, these are very special fragrances that, alongside their clearly discernible, high-quality components, represent a class of their own in the world of scents and, in my opinion, even define it.
In conclusion, I would like to say that despite my previous praise, I probably will not acquire Kobraa. Even though this fragrance fascinates me so much, it should suffice for me as a sample. Out of respect. It must suit its wearer, and they should not have to justify (daily) wearing it with hype. For now, I will not wear it fully but will enjoy its quality and elevation from time to time.
