An implosion of the citric
When you read the fragrance notes of Overdose, you probably think of a terribly sour cocktail of everything the world of citrus fruits has to offer. Understandable, but that's not the case. The citrus notes in Overdose cannot be over-scented, but I find that the fragrance tries with all its might to hold them back.

This results in a citrus note that does not work its way out of the fragrance but rather into the other notes. Wonderfully sour lemons with milky white flowers. A slightly bitter grapefruit with a sweet fig. A juicy orange with aromatic sage and so on. Each of these notes finds its perfectly balanced partner in the fragrance and allows the wearer to participate in it. I call the whole thing "Implosion" because I think this fragrance is one of the only ones I know that works inwards rather than outwards. That really fascinates me and makes it exciting every time I wear it.

A few more words about wearability: as already mentioned, it's not overpowering and definitely a fragrance for summer. I also like to wear it all day and not just in the evening. A little weak in winter but definitely wearable from 10-15°C.

The name says it all
Raw Gold is a fragrance that you may not necessarily like when you first smell it. But I don't think that's what it wants. It smells so atypical and strong that you almost shy away from it. It smells very coarse at first, or rather, very raw...

This is where exactly what I mean in my title comes into play. Shortly after spraying it on - after this "raw" phase - the fragrance becomes wonderfully opulent and very fine but still remains dense. This phenomenon happens again and again while wearing the fragrance: the scent rises very strongly and aggressively in the nose and becomes soft and very pleasing in a fraction of a second.

However, this does not mean that the fragrance is harmless. It remains on the skin and especially on clothing for a very long time and projects what it can. Other fragrances around it hardly stand a chance of being smelled. You definitely stand out with the fragrance, but mostly in a positive way.

To refer to the title again: The two words should be considered separately. The fragrance is raw at first and then quickly turns into olfactory gold.

Shootout in the clearing
SHOT!!! The recoil causes my hands to shoot upwards uncontrollably. I manage to bring the revolver to a halt just in front of my face. The smell of gunpowder is almost pungent in my nose. I screw up my face and flinch. "Shit! I missed! All right, one more try."
I aim the gun again and take another deep breath. SHOT! This time the revolver lies still in my hand. The smell of gunpowder gently caresses my nose. It is joined by the powdery - almost milky - smell of the trampled flowers under my shoes. "Well done," I think, while the smell of fresh wood from the tree on which my target is hanging joins the composition
I walk slowly towards the target. The resin of the tree now emerges from the bullet hole and successfully rounds off the scent experience.

At first glance, Rendez-Vous may smell a little synthetic. If you give the fragrance a chance, it is very rich - especially for the "few" fragrance notes - and provides a great experience.
