Fhaldara

I love this perfume. It's green and grassy and smells like a summer meadow. If you like
greens, don't miss this one. I'm buying a back up bottle while there are still some available. I rarely fall in love with a fragrance at first sniff, but it definitely happened with this one!

This has a very fresh green lilac opening, the best I've tried. It stays green until the sweeter jasmine heart, and dries down to a clean/musky, slightly powdery base. I 've had this fragrance on my want list for a long time, and I am very happy to say it didn't disappoint!

Lily of the Valley is my favorite floral, and I have many versions of it, but Penhaligon's is the closest to the actual, freshly opened flower in my opinion. It's as fresh and green as spring itself - AND it has excellent longevity, rare in a LOTV fragrance.

The sole reason I've rated this four stars instead of five is the clove note, I really wish they hadn't added it. It's not very prominent, but it's there from start to finish, and spoils this fragrance a bit for me. I can't find the patchouli in this because the clove overpowers it, at least on my skin. Except for that, it's a lovely green fragrance, very clean and herbaceous, and I'll wear it despite the clove, though not as often as I would were there no clove!

I am undecided about this. I almost didn't buy it because I couldn't test it and because it contains clove which I dislike intensely. I love the bottle though, and I love hyacinth so when a bottle came along for a bargain price I bought it. I don't like the opening, I immediately smell that harsh clove note above everything else. It faded after about 5 minutes and settled into a greenish hyacinth that turns a little powdery. The clove along with the cinnamon appeared again as it dried down, but was less harsh and overpowering. I like it, and will definitely wear it, but it's not what I hoped for, and I'm not likely to purchase it again.
