She is gone - AWAY...
...and I am alone again, alone
She is gone - AWAY
Before it was nicer to be alone..."

Yes. She is (almost) gone, my Amour Kenzo Indian Holi. It is only a puddle after. Shake. My tester restflakon - once of Miracel in the exchange game here got - as good as all.
A repurchase would still be possible, at an auction platform. 50ml for 249.00€. Am I Croesus? Maybe Midas? Unfortunately no.

So I have to ask myself like the Fantastic Four in their song: Have I valued my Amour Kenzo Indian Holi too little? Deceived her with other fragrances? Sprayed her too naturally? She didn't even get a comment. But - I have to defend myself - that was due to something else: I find her scent so extraordinary that I never managed to find the right words. And now I sit here with the vorvor...last sprays on the forearms and try again, because soon it may be too late for it, if she is then completely gone.

So, first of all, I can preface that Indian Holi for me has nothing in common with the other amoureuses of Kenzo, which so far all had a too stuffy share in the foreground, which oppressed me.

Indian Holi starts off lightly fruity-floral with a subtle soft powder note. I love frangipani very much, but would not have recognized it here. But it probably contributes the only very moderately sweetened, bright florality. This is added with a dry lightness that frangipani alone does not have about it. The fragrance has transparency, yet is powerful. It seems to float. If I had to name one fruit that I can most likely guess, I would say it is cherry. The powder note is very strong, rather one of the very rare for me pleasant musky powders and definitely not the typical powder of iris. Nevertheless, the fragrance also gives me the impression of lush stamens. In the course, the fruity note fades a little to give more space to the dry stamens of the flowers.
Kenzo Amour Indian Holi lasts throughout the day and combines more and more to a dry floating powder melange with a hint of cherry on stamens of fine flowers. Until it then disappears.

"She's gone - GONE
and I'm alone again, alone"

The Fantastic Four put it in a nutshell:

"You don't just feel alone, man, you are.
So let the whining be, because that's the way it
now times on this world. Even if you don't like it,
Watch your own movie and be your own hero."

Yes. And just not Croesus or Midas. There are, after all, other heroes.
Bygones.

Compliments spell
When I look in the ticker or also in the thread subscribed by me "compliments / insults to the fragrance" I'm always surprised how many of you obviously regularly get positive, even enthusiastic feedback on their fragrances. I then always think to myself that perhaps I spray significantly less or perhaps simply meet fewer people in everyday life than you do. There may well be something to both thoughts, but now it just jumped out at me: I was wearing the wrong scents! Because - lo and behold - since I wear Love Potion Midnight Wish, I can keep up: Compliments about compliments!

"May I ask what smells so wonderfully fruity here?", I was asked just yesterday again by a strange woman after an appointment in the office. What a pleasure!
For me it is particularly exciting to hear how my uninfluenced environment perceives the fragrance. So the woman smelled predominantly fruit, but could not say which. She apparently even thought it was possible that it was something other than perfume. An (invisible) fruit bowl perhaps?

I feel the same way about Love Potion Midnight Wish:
On opening, it seems bright and cheerfully fruity without being citrusy, while being soft and slightly sweet, but without that fermented note that about 90% of modern fruit scents have, and also without the burnt undertone that seems horribly cheap in my nose, which sweet scents often bring.
Exactly I could not name the fruit, just like my visitor. I can only say what fruit it is not: It is not peach, not plum, nothing citrus, nor lychee, apple, pear, fig, cherry. Cherry? Yes, that's right, I don't smell cherry. I wouldn't have been surprised for myself, since I don't really find the cherry scents that are found in so many common fragrances, such as Guerlain's "Little Black", to be cherry-like, but rather unspecifically fruity. The more exciting it was to hear that it was not just me alone so went.
Let's continue in the short pyramid text: even coffee, which I had very much hoped for, I do not smell. I smell that the fruity is a bit more tart and warmer, but coffee? No. After a few hours, the scent enters the base. Now I do find musk to be a problem scent with nice regularity. But here - musk? Where? The fragrance becomes softer, warmer and more powdery, while retaining its spiciness, fruity is still there - but I do not smell musk.

Unlike many other fragrances from Oriflame, Love Potion Midnight Wish lasts throughout the day.
The woman who asked me about the fragrance in the office was there about 15:00 and I had sprayed about 7:00 in the morning at home. The sillage must also be really neat: The visitor had not been able to identify myself as the source of the fragrance.

In summary, I can say that I have rarely encountered such a wonderfully fruity, slightly spicy, uncomplicated and freed from all other fruit scentsübeln such as oversweetening, fermentation and Anbrennerei, which can still maintain all its beauty in the course and gen end only warmer and softer.

Love Potion Midnight Wish is thus in every respect a real pleasure. Also the flacon is in my eyes decidedly shapely. Color-wise I find the flacon of the classic Love Potion even more beautiful, but from the fragrance I feel it the other way around.
Last but not least, the price of the fragrance brings a happy glow to my face. And here attention: Limited Edition!
By the way, if you can also get hold of the body lotion, which seems to me even a little harder to get than the fragrance itself: It smells a little less fruity, but a little spicier, as if you had already arrived in the base, I find that very pleasant for a body lotion. The texture has a little of a hand cream, but is still wonderfully portable for me with sensitive skin.

1988 rocks!
1988: Her friend had borrowed her parents' Fiat and now she was driving on the country road to the music pub in the next village over. She drove a little uncertainly, the driving license was new, the route too. Finally she could be part of what the others were always talking about! It didn't matter now that the band was unknown to her. If she didn't like it, then one could also change to the disco room.
The building looked quite different from the outside than expected. It did have a thatched roof and was covered with lush, red climbing roses. It looked like an old farm, no, smaller, more like a farmhand's cottage. Outside, the typical uncomfortable folding chairs of weathered wood and rusted iron, and round tables, also wooden. But of course they went inside immediately, they had no money for beer and outside in an enchanted, overgrown herb garden only the old people sat anyway, those who were already approaching 30.

Although a large proportion of the guests were smokers, it didn't smell like it at all. Firstly, the cottage was rather airy and secondly, there were large areas where smoking was prohibited for safety reasons. The people also adhered to it, because they knew the problems of the owner to be allowed to run a music pub here at all, loud, under thatch, on'm village.

As soon as they arrived, it started: The house band was called Crimson and played rock. This appealed to her in the first moment actually not so much, she was actually more on progressive music, but this band had that certain something, here the composition was right, catchy, but with surprising twists, presented with drive and verve. In addition, the atmosphere of the thatched house, cozy, warm, natural and the mood of the guests, cordial, relaxed and good-humored.
They began to dance, sinking into the music and the mood. By the time the band took a break, it was late. After the second set, they clapped several encores. They didn't go back until the next morning. It was already light out.
The drive had been worth it.
The scent of lush dark red climbing roses mingling with the cinnamon of the chai served, with savory and lovage of the herb garden, then the wood of the old parquet and thatched roof truss, a hint of smoke - she had it all in her nose for hours and hours to come. Only in the course of the next day did the last of the wood fade away.

They had long since agreed to go there again the next weekend.

Area 52 or Shit happens
2011: "Damn it," Marc cursed, "Shit!" Horrified, he looked around to see if anyone from the college had seen him. Obviously not, they were all out to lunch, at least that. The whole vial had burst. That wasn't the worst of it, the worst of it was that he had opened the window earlier - against the rules. It was a hot summer day and the greenhouse was still heating up despite all the technology. Surely that couldn't be true. He looked around again. Chances were he would be able to get rid of everything before the others noticed...

2013: "Oh, let's go a little further, it's so wonderful here," Keiko tried to convince him. Sighing he gave in, he just couldn't refuse her anything, besides this hike was actually too long for him already and they still had to go back. But she looked so excited and it was nice here, really remote. Pretty adventurous area, no one really came here anymore, at least not since the research center had been closed. "I think it smells wonderful," she interrupted his thoughts, "kind of like flowers, but I wouldn't know what they are, I've never smelled anything like that before." Well, that should mean something with her, after all she was a perfumer. Now he noticed it too: there really was something strangely floral in the air. "It's getting more that way," she cried, "come, I must find out where it comes from!" She disappeared into the undergrowth. Immediately afterwards he heard her cry out. He rushed after her and almost cried out too: She was standing under several huge blossoms as tall as trees, like magenta funnels hanging down from above. If the one she was looking up at had fallen off, it would have completely covered Keiko like a magic-hat-shaped tent. Inside, the flowers had other colors, pink, orange, brown, and white. Now he stood under one as well, looking high into it - suddenly it was as if he was looking into the eyes of the snake Ka. "Listen to me, trust me..." Oh, God, and that scent - he had to be careful not to get immediately lost in it, slump to the ground, and find himself in a dream world from which he might never wake up.
Rooted to the spot, they both stood there now, staring upwards. These plants could not be of this world. This only slightly sweet and extremely intense floral scent made the green of the forest around them, the already withering grass smelling aromatic in the sun, and even the green freshness carried by the wind from the nearby creek seem like a paltry weakening breath. Not even the resin of the old trees came through worth mentioning.
Suddenly, they both moved again at the same time. "Let's get out of here, maybe they're poisonous," he wanted to say. But the sentence stuck in his throat. Keiko was truly swinging a huge branch after all. She was obviously going to knock off one of those crazy giant magic hat flowers. Gleefully, she called out to him, "Awesome! THAT'S going to be a perfume!"
He held his hands over his eyes.

I wanna lay you down in a bed of roses...
In the first moment discreet powdery iris, noble, without the stale thing that iris often has for me, it could be one of the fine, discreet newer Diors, one of those that don't seem watered down at the same time. Then there's a little freshness factor, like from lemon balm, which quickly turns into the typical rose geranium, which in turn fades into the background, becoming a natural, lush rose with a geranium background. I like this.
It's a quiet fragrance, one that doesn't demand, one you can just let yourself go with, uncomplicated and natural, despite the combination of iris and rose, which usually reminds me of old ladies, not elderly or even stuffy, as I usually find iris easy.
Just as I've never been a fan of Bon Jovi's music, the iris-rose combination has never been mine. The song and the scent have even more parallels: They start rather soft and then become powerful, both offer no surprises but live on their good "sound" and are solidly composed through. Both come from the USA, both seem boring to me quickly, seem to lack anything special. But sometimes something simple and straightforward does a lot of good. Sometimes I can listen to such an old, but not stuffy, tearjerker like Bon Jovi's "Bed of Roses" after all, just switch off and feel good.
The geranium, instead of which I would have liked with perhaps more real rose or more of this beautiful iris, makes the fragrance for me an 8. That is also for Bon Jovis songs with me the very highest of feelings. But sometimes, especially in stressful times, both the song and this fragrance are exactly what does good.
After about 7 hours, everything is gone and a fine heliotrope veil appears, which lasts for more hours. Also nice.
