The perfect EDC, if only you didn’t leave me!
Cologne du Maghreb is one of the most interesting and sensorial eau de colognes that I’ve had the opportunity to sample.

It’s a complex assortment of citrus, herbs, florals, woods and balsams that are beautifully blended. I could spend hours examining its diverse and varied facets.

However, the fragrance doesn’t merely fade but flees from my nose after approximately 60 minutes. Poof, and she’s left me all alone. Goodbye my love!

Not the neroli I was hoping for
So, this is not your soapy, effervescent neroli, which I love. My nose doesn’t really perceive neroli at all.

From the start I smell vanilla, amber, maybe labdanum with a hint of citrus.

Not long after, rose and orange blossom unintrusively make their presence known giving the vanilla/amber base a creamy floral vibe. This is my favorite phase of the fragrance and it almost made me love it, but after about an hour or two It fades to a powdery vanilla and labdanum.

The fragrance is well blended but the namesake just doesn’t shine here and that is what I was looking for.
