Voluptuous Celebrations....

Gorgeous rich fruity oriental floral! Opens with a fresh burst of just picked and sliced fresh juicy pineapple and peachy apricots along with a thick, fully blooming bouquet of bittersweet, invigorating marigold, with some scattered sweet orange blossoms and a few petals of delicate tropical frangipani swirled in.
Next comes a heady mélange of zesty clove-laden spices, some sultry jasmine, and a mountain of narcotically sweet green-sappy-dewy morning fresh daffodils smelling like the stems were just ripped from the earth! The rose is only an afterthought here adding a touch of richness, and melding the florals to the supporting base of spicy resinous tolu balsam, a slightly astringent yet rich sandalwood, a clean woody cedar for added depth, and a moderate weight musk to impart a sensual feeling of intimacy.
The vanilla, used here in poised restraint, moderates the bitterness of the marigold. Likewise the powerfully resinous marigold curbs the sweetness of the vanilla. A splendidly opulent balance is achieved in this composition due to this equalization between these two opposing notes, which is ongoing within this scent from opening to complete dry down, and contributes largely to the brilliant and unique character of this perfume.
I find this fragrance to be warmly sensuous and inviting. There is something joyful and relaxed within it as well. It is powerful without being overtly loud. Non-threatening, elegantly seductive, and lots of fun! On my skin there is a distinct absence of harshness, and a plentiful abundance of soft, plushy, clean-skin melding carnal voluptuousness. It’s just delightful! I love it!

WINE DARK ENCHANTMENT
AMETHYST by Lalique
Opens with a succulently overwhelming wine-dark flood of juicy vine-ripened black currant, blueberries, blackberries, mulberries, and strawberries. The delectable sweet-tart mouthwatering fragrance remains true to the natural plant essence and is unsullied by any added artificial sugary cloying sweetness.
A subdued dusting of spicy pepper enhances the intensity of the rich fruity juice aromas, rather like an encounter in a wild meadow when the berry bushes are surrounded by a number of other zesty flowering plants and herbs.
This blends seamlessly into an elegant shower of crisp peony and freshly blooming rose petals woven through just a trace of tenderly dreamy ylang-ylang.
Everything smoothly comes to rest on a delicately sensual base of clean musky light cedar woods and just a drop of warm, silky vanilla.
The berries remain jubilantly dominant on my skin to the end of the dry down with the subtly sensual spice hovering over them, and the subdued florals meander elegantly through the tantalizingly complex layers of fruits.
This melds exquisitely with my skin and brings to mind the elegance of ancient vineyards and old castles, and enjoying a magnificently dark aged wine with hints of ripe berries on a warm summer evening, surrounded by blooming rose bushes and peonies in a mysterious little romantic garden.

SUBLIME BEAUTY
IRIS DE NUIT by James Heeley
Mystical, Magical, Enchantingly beautiful. This distinctly unusual wraith-like scent drifts up with a swirling haze of cool, shadowy Iris and powdery Violets. Misty tendrils of sweet herbal-green angelica and sensually rich ambrette seed are woven seamlessly through this composition and linger throughout its duration; giving a tremendous feeling of openness, spaciousness, and an elusively fine, airy splendor between the pull of the celestially transcendent crystalline angelica and the earthy voluptuous carnality of the musk mallow. The juxtaposition of these two notes is uniquely brilliant in this perfume.
An interesting dewy-moist vegetal of carrot seeds is very subdued and serves to maintain the otherworldly beauty of the Iris firmly to the very end of the dry down, gradually increasing the feeling of wetness as the Violet completely recedes and the majestic Iris proclaims her dominion. A breathtakingly clean cedar serenely grounds the entire composition with quietly somber grandeur, while smoothly consistent amber provides an invitingly warm and intimate sort of tender coziness to the entire work.
This is a truly magical scent impression of fireflies hovering in the misty twilight, with elves and fairies and other nocturnal creatures stirring in the gathering dusk. It is the scent of night itself awakening in a tranquil forest just as the air turns cool at lakeside.
This to me is stunningly exquisite, unbelievably refined, and just profoundly beautiful. The balance here between masculine and feminine, between spiritual and corporeal, between dryness budding into moisture, between that perfect moment of light closing into darkness is so perfectly balanced that it is… sublime.
On my skin and to my nose, this is Iris perfection.

BERRY BEAUTIFUL ROSE
MISS CHARMING by Juliette Has A Gun
Gloriously beautiful fruity rose! Opens with a mouthwatering explosion of ripe, tart, and fresh wildberries from a new crop just gathered in the fields, fully-ripened litchi, and newly blossoming garden roses in the summertime. Dries down to a clean and subtle musk.
Like biting into a ripe, tart berry at breakfast with the juices popping in your mouth! Then devouring a ripe litchi fruit, and sniffing the fully opened blossoms of red roses on the bush near the breakfast nook! This is no wallflower shy rose! This is a woman full of life, joyously running through a summer meadow laughing in delight at the beautiful day, with delicious wildberries overflowing in her basket, roses woven in her hair, and celebrating the happiness of life itself! I find this perfume to be very jubilant in nature and it makes me smile to wear it!
There is nothing to weigh down the ultra-fresh juicy goodness here. This is totally delicious from the opening through full dry down on my skin. No added sickening sweetness other than that which is naturally found in the ripe plants themselves. No overdone musk, or woods, or spices to cloud the freshness of the fruit or the clarity of the rose. On my skin I get no soapy detergent notes at any stage in development either.
Much richer and fruitier than Paul Smith Rose. Much more berries than Rose 4 Reines. Miss Charming is by no means a soliflore. No nasty patchouli like Lady Vengeance. No heavy musk like Stella. Denser than Chloe Intense with the fruit mélange. Less smooth but much more tartly flirtatious and fun than Fille de Berlin. Not quite as powerful in pure roses as the Montale Highness Rose, but then nothing else is either. Much more rosy clean and fresh than the Bvlgari Rose Essentielle. Far more juicily beautiful on my skin than Rose The One.
All in all, a very unique rose that is opulently fruity and mouthwateringly gorgeous. I have a full bottle and plan to buy more.
I find it hard to tear my nose away from my wrists with this one! Absolute Rose Love here!

Undine's Song Come to Life.....

Exquisitely beautiful aquatic floral. This is Monet’s “Waterlilies” come to life with all dewy diaphanous pastel splendor. An Undine is singing a siren’s song and combing her hair in an enchanted freshwater lake surrounded by richly fragrant night-blooming waterlilies in the summer moonlight.
