olfactory experience
Pleasantly warm sandalwood, smoky notes that are reminiscent of aoud, but are more subtle and caressing rather than beguiling. This fruity, present sweetness of saffron is rounded off by something balsamic.

When I smelled the fragrance for the first time in the duty free area at Berlin airport, I was immediately smitten. My vacation became secondary and the focus was on this fragrance. A wonderfully well-rounded fragrance that reminds me of an oversweetened version of Mancera's Aoud Vanille in its first 15 minutes, but lacks the vanilla and the scratchiness. However, this initial association fades after another 15 minutes and in the drydown the fragrance becomes delicately woody in its base and playfully sweet, almost fruity in its top note.

I (m) find the fragrance a wonderful companion for summer evenings and everyday life from fall onwards. I imagine a walk in the forest, an excellent dinner and a nice evening with a good glass of red wine at home. In general, a very high-quality and classy smelling fragrance with good sillage and excellent longevity.

My partner also likes the fragrance very much, but we have decided (although we share some fragrances) that this one is more likely to be "mine".

If I get it all, I'll definitely get it again.

The most precious stone fruit
During her lifetime, my grandmother had a small house in Italy in a 200-person village north of Montefiascone, where we spent many summers. It was a beautiful and quiet area where almost everyone had a fruit tree in their garden. My grandma saw it as her duty to exchange with everyone in the village in late summer, so she got lemons, bergamots and berries of all kinds and the neighbors got plums and peaches and the world's best tomatoes.
My grandmother loved her flowers, which she tended every day, although the work became more difficult for her from year to year. But she was a vain lady for whom a well-tended garden was very important. She didn't want anyone in the village to think that she was no longer able to keep her garden in good condition. In the evenings, we always sat in the garden with a view of Lake Bolsena, drank white wine and my parents philosophized about the problems at home and how free and beautiful life was in this place every year at this time. Even though I hadn't had to travel with my parents for a long time, nostalgia drew me back to this place every year.

Now I'm sitting here, having sprayed on the Arge, and suddenly I'm sitting exactly where I was sitting with my parents 5 years ago, listening to their philosophical anecdotes. The stone fruit, the flowers, the feeling of freedom, the smell of the old house - everything is so present and nestles around me, making me melt away. I'm impressed by the combination of scents, because I've never smelled anything like it before! It's a synthetic fruit cocktail variation, but it's never been so finely balanced and creamy.
I first smelled the Kirké last week, and yes, the similarity is there, but I fell in love with the Arge. The 0.2 ml bottle immediately became the 100 ml bottle... I couldn't help it and it's also financially shared suffering, as my partner also thinks it's so great and wants to wear it.

A walk through the cemetery
It's a gray November day, one of the first on which not a single leaf can be found on the trees.
Cool, moss-scented air blows in my face and I walk through the leaves lying on the ground along the familiar path on the edge of town, lost in thought.
In the distance, I can already make out my destination, the old church with the small cemetery where we buried my grandfather 12 years ago.
It was just as gray a November day as it is today, and it almost seems as if time has stood still.
A metallic smell emanates from the patina of the old entrance gate, mingling with the earth, the moss on the gravestones and the resin of the old trees, enveloping this place like magic and even if it seems oppressive in places, there could be no better smell for this place.

Encre Noire a L'Extreme is a beautiful fragrance and I am not a fan of judging fragrances solely on how they smell. For me, it needs a little more ... be it wit, nostalgia or joy.

I only wear this fragrance when I think it is appropriate; it is my faithful companion, preferably on gray autumn days. I wouldn't personally choose this fragrance for normal occasions, as it has a certain heaviness that I can't associate with my everyday life.

Louis IV sends his regards
Here I am now, sitting on my balcony wrapped in a velvet bathrobe, pondering the next steps to take to make the foot people obedient.
Surrounded by a magical aura that almost scares me myself...
But I am the King of France, fear is a novelty to me.
In my flower garden I have grown the most beautiful roses, but with the most dangerous thorns. And now I ask myself; can the red of a rose be so intense and terrifying or is it due to the blood of my arch-enemies, who tried to get their hands on my precious naked tare beforehand and tore their skin open miserably in the process?

The Rose Incense from Amouage is something very special.
Special can be combined with many adjectives - everyone should take a sniff and let it sink in.
For me, this is one of the most beguiling rose fragrances I have ever smelled and I am not normally a fan of too much rosé.
I think it's great, but I have to enjoy it with caution, definitely not a fragrance for the office - unless you're the CEO.

A fever dream on cocaine
Poaaah, Egon Kowalski would say. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I start to sweat slightly. My whole body is sticky but that's OK because I'm in a trusted swingers club and I know that everyone can smell me. Whether you like it or not, I don't care because I'm polarizing.

Joking aside, the beginning of this fragrance is numbing, it feels like I had my nose too close to the superglue and now I have the salad....
But time heals all wounds and after a few minutes (it feels like hours) I am enveloped in the comforting warmth of incense, wood and tonka notes, inviting me to enjoy the evening in ecstasy.

A sophisticated fragrance, an absolute grenade for my nose. But I can also understand anyone who doesn't like this fragrance DNA.
Well, luckily for me, that means more Kok.... ehm I mean Wood on Fire, of course.
