The lovely one with rough edges
There he stands before me now, the high-ranking officer at sea of whom Armaf is proud of his title.

A shiny blue bottle with a triangular base, tapering towards the bottom, gently rounded corners, a hand flatterer. A lid that clips on, but somehow also contains a magnet. A spray head that doesn't skimp on the application, but also doesn't overdo it unintentionally.
Check - I like it.

Freshly sprayed on, I hear an ozonic-aquatic freshness that can hardly be explained by the fragrance pyramid, slightly underlined by warm-sweet cardamom. And then the first rough edges of the fragrance begin: do I smell rubber? Yes, yes, but somehow pleasant rubber. Difficult to describe. Not a burning tire, more like a newly bought rubber boat. The whole thing is very subtle and a small facet of the overall fragrance. Before you have found the right association with the rubber scent - it disappears again. Did my nose play a trick on me? Spoiler: No, I get this association every time I spray it on fresh.

After half an hour, the fresh notes have disappeared and the warm, soft ingredients gain the upper hand. Very subtle, non-sacred incense, amber, tonka and vanilla promise (and deliver) a feel-good program. Even sharper pepper can be detected directly on the skin - the sillage is dominated by soft notes that create a calming aura around me.
Speaking of sillage: not beast mode, but still noticeably effective over a longer period of time. With 5 sprays, I can hear my own scent for 5-6 hours. Close to the skin about 8-9 hours, which I consider to be very good.
I would like to compare it to other fragrances, but I don't have a fragrance that is noticeably similar to Admiral.

The first time I tested Admiral, I found it nice. Good the second time. Now I like it very much. A feel-good fragrance with interesting twists. I may have to revise my rating upwards one day.

No direction
Can you make a bad purchase at a price of €8? Yes, you can.

Due to the good rating here (currently 8.0/10), I became aware of the Rise and added it to my order. Actually, the fragrances could have already given me a hint that there might be something strange: Sweet and fresh? Green and synthetic? And then some wood on top of that?
Apparently, the Rise brewed up whatever was left in the fragrance cabinet.

The citrusy top note is smothered by the cardamom. No freshness kick.
Melon and mint in the heart note could give a fresh, fruity impact - if they weren't dragged down by "herbaceous notes". At times, I had associations with an inflatable plastic paddle boat.
Are we hoping for the base note with amber, sandalwood and cedarwood? No, the hope is in vain. The "herbaceous notes" still linger, leaving a slightly musty fragrance that would invite us to take a shower soon if it weren't for the limited longevity of the Rise

Rise is not a refreshing fragrance, not a green natural scent, nor a cozy, warming woody scent.
It wants to be everything together at the same time and is therefore none of these things in total.

I can't think of a situation where I would want to wear it.

Moustache vs. Penthouse Larvotto
I carried out a direct comparison with both of them.

I don't want to go into the fragrance itself and its similarity to "Le Vestiaire - Tuxedo | Yves Saint Laurent" here, as this has already been mentioned many times.

First of all: the two are very similar. It takes a very experienced nose to be able to distinguish between the two fragrances without a direct comparison.

Shortly after spraying it on and letting it dry, Moustache Eau de Parfum is slightly fruitier and fresher than Penthouse Larvotto, which is probably due to the mandarin in Moustache. However, this slight difference disappears after just a few minutes.

In the following hour, the two are extremely similar. The Moustache seems a touch more delicate, finer, nobler, the Larvotto somewhat "denser".

The Moustache then begins to lose noticeably in strength compared to the Larvotto. It becomes increasingly thinner, which makes comparison more difficult. While the Larvotto still radiates, the Moustache is only skin deep.

Conclusion:
In favor of the Moustache is the slightly finer, more refined fragrance in the first hour and, in my opinion, the more pleasing bottle.
In addition to the (even) lower price, the Penthouse Larvotto has a much longer shelf life. I find the difference in durability much greater than the corresponding reviews on Perfumo suggest. Its bottle is perfectly ok, although not as eye-catching as the vintage bottle of Moustache.

If I had to choose one of the two, I would find it difficult. As an office fragrance, Larvotto would be my choice, for an elegant freshness kick after a shower, Moustache.

They are both recommendable.

Scent of the British Channel Islands
Some time ago, I ordered a whole bunch of Zara fragrances blind, putting together a kind of trial box. In this price range, you don't necessarily have to resort to bottling. Included was the "Green Savage", which is listed by Zara under "Basics".
At the time, I didn't pay much attention to Green Savage, as the case supposedly offered much more exciting fragrances. I only realized that I had underestimated the Green Savage when I studied it more intensively.

The GS has a brief alcoholic start, then the bergamot provides a fresh breeze. This top note is passed through relatively quickly and the lavender emerges, although it is intercepted by the cedar wood in such a way that you don't find yourself in a lavender field.
I associate the GS with a lush, freshly mown meadow in the sunshine, with slightly salty air, as I would locate it on a British island.

The GS can be sprayed on generously, as its sillage is rather restrained. It soon becomes somewhat stronger than close to the skin, but lasts an astonishingly long time (6-7 hours).
I see GS less as a summer fragrance. Spring and fall suit it best. It can be worn all day, I like it best as a morning freshener.
With Green Savage, you get a quieter, green fragrance that never comes across as herbaceous and creates a warmer mood in the DD. It is not a poser. It gives the wearer a feeling of fresh cleanliness. You might not want to wear it every day, but sometimes it's just right-beautiful. Not a "must-have", but a very "nice-to-have".

Flight jacket or antique leather sofa?
I received a 7.5ml mini of this fragrance with my order.
Now I can't say that I tested the fragrance extensively on myself over several days - I didn't want to do that to myself or those around me.
Which makes the general direction of this review clear.

When I smell the bottle directly, I can recognize fresh floral notes. On my skin, however, these notes evaporate immediately and the leather scent, which dominates everything, takes over.
It is the scent of old, thick, dark smooth leather. If you sniff a leather-covered, bulky armchair in an antique shop, the scent is about right. But not in terms of intensity! The armchair has largely lost its fragrance over the decades and therefore smells very subtle. Cuir Intense, on the other hand, fills the room, flooding it with such brute intensity that all the senses focus on just one thing: Where does the fragrance come from? And in this case, that does not have a positive connotation, because the next thought is: Where can I find a window to ventilate?
To extend the comparison with the antique leather armchair: Cuir Intense smells like when you treat the armchair with leather care - repeatedly soaking the cloth in leather care and dragging it over the leather in circular movements - and always having your nose half an arm's length from the source of the odor.

Cuir Intense is certainly not mainstream and will certainly find/have fans. For my subjective perception, however, it is not a "perfume", but a "fragrance/smell" (in the sense that the smell of freshly fried bacon is not necessarily associated with a perfume - even if it may smell seductive).

As I have only worn the fragrance for one day, I will refrain from giving a rating.
