It is a bold wine with a touch of sophistication and a lack of pretension - I believe it could be better … You can immediately taste the blackcurrant
Just as Meg Ryan in "French Kiss" discovers the scents of the wine only on the second try, I experienced something similar with Jicky by Guerlain.
I admit. I was worried whether the first perfume, "établi avec" synthetic fragrance materials, and not just from the previous century, but from the previous millennium could somehow resonate with me in the 21st century. And LAVENDER, described as a heart note in excess. I don’t know. When I stroll from my garage driveway into the garden and let my hand brush over the lavender bushes ... Then the evening is surely not far off and I don’t need to chase away scorpions with it.
The perfume is, well, not affordable for everyone. Unless you are perhaps a regular guest at the Salzburg Festival. Therefore, I settled for the Eau de Parfum. After several attempts, I found the right day and then.
Wow! You can immediately smell the bergamot and lemon. The lavender is covered by jasmine and vanilla, only to give way after a while to amber, incense, and civet. The oriental notes become dominant as the evening progresses. Behind sinful veils glow night-encircled doe eyes that carry the embers of the sunset within them. A souk in Casablanca, a secluded courtyard in a sheikh's house? Full of bougainvillea, orchids, spices, and the scent of an opulent dinner in Lebanon?
Rarely has a fragrance touched me so, so unexpectedly.
I actually wanted to gift the scent to my sweetheart for Valentine's Day. Well. Unexpected things often happen.
I’ll keep it and look for a bouquet of flowers.....
And besides: the plastic cap doesn’t do justice to the ambition of the bottle anyway.

It’s Green When Green Roses Bloom
Green roses don’t actually smell that much. Not because they are only partially green and turn red with age. They also look more like wilted peonies. Their scent is rather spicy. What develops on my skin with Donna Rosa Verde leans towards the English Rose 'Graham Thomas' from my garden. A bit lemony, just a tiny bit of violet. And the mate tea? At least it’s not smoky. And actually, it reminds me more of freshly snipped geranium stems. There’s also a bit of citrus in there. But not typical bergamot. It smells like three-leafed gold pomelo blossoms in Passau in spring. Anyway. Neither the rose nor the tea is smoky and spicy. The bergamot pomelo also keeps a low profile. Just like the ginger. Thank goodness. It’s better suited with e.h. at a well-known TV chef. And the magnolia? It blooms beautifully but briefly.
After all the oud from the past years, I was in the mood for something fresher, lighter. And Valentino has never disappointed me. Not this time either. Although I would prefer if the scent lingered on me a bit longer. Strangely enough, it does on fabric. It’s probably my skin. Well, I’ll just spray it in a narrow stream on a scarf... My sweetie finds it, after initial skepticism, so stimulating that I now have to worry about my little bottle. Good thing you can easily control the amount or its dwindling through the clearly designed flacon...

Bubble Gum in Blonde Hair
Betty0714 is right. It sticks like bubble gum in blonde hair or like a pink Chanel suit on Reese Witherspoon. Today's chemically enhanced fragrance ingredients allow designers to create scents that cling to you for what feels like forever. And it seems to me that the "worse" the scent, the more joy it brings them. The finer fragrances do it right. They dissipate faster, and you have to reapply more often. And buy more often. I don't see that danger here. Still, I will buy the scent as Sugar Pop. In the smallest possible size. And incorporate the flashy bottle into my collection.

Waltzing Mathilda ?
Fragrances unfold differently on various skin. But just as the song is neither about a waltz nor a girl named Mathilda, in my nose, Artisan is not about various citruses and tobacco. Once the top and heart notes have dissipated, unfortunately far too quickly, all that remains for me is an overflowing ashtray with ginger lemonade. The latter even makes a sharp impression. At this point, I must head for the shower. Such a shame about the beautifully designed bottle.

10.0 ???
Not everyone can smell good to everyone. But here .... my nose simply refuses. For me, at most a 5 on a school grading scale. I will never rely on reviews again. Always smell it yourself first and then buy. First comes a scent as if you have bitten into a bitter almond, overlaid by the fragrance of a "toilet flower," scent direction apple, and then everything is overshadowed by stale honey. Eww.
