Creamy-Floral Temptation
This fragrance enchanted me completely from the very first second!
Initially, I ordered several samples from Initio to get to know the scents and test them extensively on my own skin.
And what can I say - besides Narcotic Delight, I immediately fell in love with High Frequency!
As can already be seen from the fragrance pyramid, this is a floral beast, but with a soft, creamy soul!
Upon the first sniff, I immediately thought - this smells familiar... even though the top notes are different, HF reminds me of the base notes of Hypnotic Poison edt. There we also find vanilla, almond, sandalwood, and musk... If you love the scent profile of HP edt, then HF is exactly the right choice.
To my nose, High Frequency creates the perfect balance between beautiful flowers and slightly animalic, yet simultaneously soft, lactonic notes. Rich almonds and creamy sandalwood perfectly round off the fragrance. A fine sweetness from the vanilla makes it even smoother, without pushing it into the gourmand direction.
Enchanting, captivating, addictive - those are the words that come to mind when I think of this fragrance. It is part of Initio's "Carnal Blends" collection, and I find this name very fitting!
The hypnotic effect of HF is phenomenal, at least on my skin, my hair, and my clothing. It lasts easily over 10 hours. Longevity and sillage are very solid - the scent lingers in the room for quite a while after you have long left. A creamy-floral scent cloud accompanies me throughout the day, and I can't get enough of it...
In my opinion, it is an underrated fragrance from Initio; it is not often recommended on social media, which might actually be a good thing! But I can definitely highly recommend it if you enjoy the vibe of Hypnotic Poison edt...

Lacquered Wooden Furniture with a Hint of Frankincense
The 702 is my first Bon Parfumeur fragrance in the collection, my first encounter with the perfume house, a blind purchase from second hand and accordingly at a good price. The fragrance pyramid appealed to me and piqued my curiosity. After it finally arrived, it was time to test it. Directly on the skin and before going to sleep.
On my skin, it initially unfolds with a slightly sharp edge. To my nose, it is clearly masculine. Like a strong men's perfume, but in a good way... aromatic and fresh. It reminds me of something from my childhood in Russia... lacquered wooden furniture, with their unmistakable scent... a balsamic note. Perhaps even a bit alcoholic... After a few minutes, the fragrance settles on my skin and we finally get closer... The notes transform into a warm, cozy feeling - like a fluffy cashmere sweater. You want to bury your nose in it and take a deep breath. It is comforting, woody, grounding. The scent strongly reminds me of Molécule 234-38 by Zarkoperfume, just more pronounced, deeper, and richer. The dry down is soft and calm. After about 5 hours, it has faded away. And I enjoyed it very much on our little journey together.
All in all, it is a balanced aromatic perfume. Light frankincense accents give it the necessary depth. It is balsamic, yet at the same time so, so gentle... For me, it is a perfect candidate for a bedtime scent and indeed, it finds the most use with me as such. It brings me to a state of calm, not intrusive. A blind purchase that did not disappoint me!

The Quiet Unknown
A blind buy that unfortunately went wrong... It starts off on my skin sour, almost fermented. Then it becomes powdery, but incredibly quiet and very close to the skin. Somehow indefinable, the name - O, Unknown fits the vibe very well... However, I must say that Iris (here Iris butter) and I are not a match, but since the other notes intrigued me, I wanted to give it a try. At the height of my ecstatic feelings towards Memoirs of a Trespasser, I was greatly disappointed here. I appreciate the art of Imaginary Authors, but I must admit - the scent of the Unknown is not for me. Longevity in my eyes is not long. Sillage rather weak. What a shame.

Vanilla in an Oak Barrel
My first encounter with the brand Imaginary Authors & instantly love at first spray!
The opening is an explosion of myrrh, sweet vanilla, and campfire. All of it in a rustic oak barrel, which is still soaked in alcohol (rum/whiskey). I perceive a distinct tobacco note, even though it is not listed. What a beautiful, warm, and cozy autumn scent this is! A dynamic interplay between fire and sweetness. I am definitely in love!
