The better Oajan?!
I am now dedicating my first review to my winter fragrance for the 2023/2024 season.
After a really long time of testing and comparing, I have now found it. The fragrance that will accompany me on the particularly cold days this winter. The "candidates" that were shortlisted were also Pdm Oajan and Khaltat Night by Attar Collection
However, the latter will also be moving in with me next winter at the latest.

All three go in a similar direction. Whereby the Khaltat Night is the most beautiful cherry for me so far. P/L are also simply top here. The Ambre Tabac is the more exciting fragrance for me, however, as it is simply more multi-faceted due to the tabac note. Here, too, I perceive a really great cherry note, although this is not listed at all. And now we come to the "comparison" with Pdm Oajan. These two have their similarities and also their differences.

The Oajan clearly shows off its cinnamon notes and is a little darker and denser for me. After I had recently bought a bottling of Oajan and had tested it extensively in a Berlin fragrance house some time before (at that time 8-10 hours very good H/S), I was already of the opinion that I was dealing with a different fragrance. After about 4-5 hours, this one was only perceptible close to the skin. After comparing it again in KaDeWe with an apparently new, reformulated bottle, I also noticed this. On me and for my nose, the "new" Oajan apparently just doesn't work well anymore. But let's get back to Ambre Tabac. Because this is exactly where it is far ahead of Oajan as things stand at the moment. What you get here is an incredibly beautiful winter fragrance that could only emerge as the winner in terms of durability/sillage and price/performance in my selection. If you like this kind of DNA, you should definitely give Daniel Josier's Ambre Tabac a try.
