I came to Gemma the Paradiso through pudelbonzo's commentary. I've been flirting with a fruity pear perfume for a long time and I give something to her commissibles. By chance I discovered the 50 ml bottle in the perfume shop for a really good price and I took it right away because I couldn't find it anywhere to test it.
That thing knocked my socks off at first. The flacon is very nice. It's heavy, it's got a great shape and an even better lid. The color gradient is gorgeous. Of course, I was a bit anxious, as I had no idea whether the water corresponded to my vague ideas or whether my nose had stored a completely different idea of a successful pear scent. So I cheerfully sprayed on, waited a few seconds and inhaled a nose full...
I tell you, this perfume is truly a jewel! From the very first sniff, I am enchanted, thrilled - over and over again.

The smell
I smell pear and vanilla. There's something else that makes the fragrance round and complete and is blended to the best of its ability, but I couldn't really smell jasmine or the scents of petals.

Both pear and vanilla are of a very special kind. Both are easy to recognize
Although the pear is sweet, it has nothing in common with other perfumes with this overripe sweetness. It is transcendent and light, as well as vanilla. Together they melt into my skin and hold and hold. The fragrance is already "sweet", very present, but not a bit sticky, more like a silk scarf surrounding me. The green of the flacon captures this supposed contradiction exactly. For me, the perfume doesn't have a great scent, it's and remains wonderful.
I love this perfume, I always have the feeling that I can't get enough of it in my nose and have to sniff it all the time. In the car, when the air gives off that smell... heavenly!

Shelf life
After 13 hours still the same vanilla pear smell, but now very close
Sillage good. The room smells softly, also here applies:
Somehow intense, but not that it would be overwhelming.

If I had not already collected so many perfumes, this would definitely be a candidate as a signature fragrance.

Upgrade: I had to order the big flacon as long as it is on sale.

I'm wearing Magnolia en fleurs for the second time today and I'm pretty sure there's more in it than it says. I definitely smell something citrusy. Somehow it reminds me of Light Blue (actually Donna, the Dupe from La Rive). So I smelled the same one;
that's it, that's not it, that's probably it? It's no good, I have to spray it on.
So now my right arm has to go, so to speak for the benefit of the Parfumo community ;-)
Sprayed on - and there's really a resemblance on my skin... the first half minute.
Afterwards Magnolia en fleurs for my nose clearly smells like the nobler perfume. Not so playful, more expensive and the fragrance is more focused on fewer components. I hope you know what I mean? With time it becomes clear that the fragrances are not siblings for my nose.

What does he smell like to me now?

HN: Magnolia, a hint of spicy taste. I also think there might be another flower in here?

A very special perfume for me. It kind of smells like when you're out in the open air. A breeze that carries the smell of woods/meadows/mountains with it.
However, it is strong for hours and does NOT immediately turn into a mild breeze.
The great durability and sillage goes with it, just the way I like it.
I liked it right away and I think that this is a very valuable product.
For me, a clear recommendation.

I ordered this perfume blindly after reading Profuma's delicious commentary on it and I have worn it several times now. Honestly, at first I was almost scared by the presence and power of this fragrance. I could guess what I was talking about in the description (nuts in chocolate), but there was much more...
Despite initial difficulties I decided to get to know him better. It is an intense, dark, beguiling scent.
Nuts? I've come to believe that I smell sesame seeds. I know the smell from the kitchen, when I roast sesame seeds in a hot pan without oil, in order to put them over the salad after it has cooled down, for example. For me, this is actually a kind of main smell of Intimate Silhouette. All the other ingredients form a unit for me that envelops this fragrance, sets it off and makes sure that it doesn't come across as bitter. In fact, benzoin and vanilla form a moderately sweet counterpart. How they interact is fascinating to me and I constantly catch myself sniffing my wrist to find out. Woods and musk provide additional warmth and depth.
You'll notice that I've grown to like this perfume - very much so. It's also funny that this isn't the first fragrance that I've learned to appreciate only after using it several times. So my nose is in the learning process :-)

Sillage: finally something that you can still smell one meter and more next to me.
Durability: many hours and on the sleeve still after 2-3 days.

So, now I have summarized my impressions as best I can. I know that my nose is not so well trained when it comes to perfumes and that many of you have more to offer.

I am still pretty new here and thanks to you I have already tested many fragrances and bought some. Where I used to own only one perfume, I have now reached almost 20 fragrances. I know, for many people here it's a cinch :-)
Only a few days ago I became aware of the Dupes of la Rive here. And today I bought La Rive number 2 and 3 for me. Miss Dream interested me especially (probably because of the milk note), and I put that on right away. I am really thrilled. I even like the first few minutes of the top note, and that doesn't happen to me very often. I don't know the original from CH, but Miss Dream convinces me. Quite soon such a heavy, rich, intense fragrance is added. Surprised I notice that it smells very similar to Modern Muse Nuit. I tested it recently and was blown away - addictive. But the price!!!
Of course I'm not as experienced a perfume expert as most people here and it could be that I'm completely wrong, but that was simply my impression. And the whole time I was hanging on my wrist and was happy that I can now enjoy this great smelling experience with Miss Dream without straining my account.

Warm fragrance with depth. Embedded in it is Tiare and, I suspect, Kahaia. I can't smell jasmine. Perhaps it gives this deep warmth together with vanilla and the rest of the base note? I don't really notice headlines. Very successful composition.
